I bought this to fit a gravel wheel that has a 15mm thru axle into my road bike that has a 12mm. The adapter fit perfectly into the wheel and even has a thin rubber oring on both sides that keeps it in place when it's installed.As another person mentioned, I did have to modify the end cap of my wheel so that it fit into the recessed dropout on my fork. This is probably pretty common because a 15mm wheel would match up with the recess of a fork that was also made for 15 mm. My wheel had about a 3mm flare on the end cap that needed to be ground down in order to fit properly in my fork. This modification has nothing to do with this adapter, but I thought someone could find it useful when/if they have trouble with their wheel on a fork made for 12mm.

This items worked great for converting my 100mm x15mm front wheel hub into a 100 x 12mm.Just be aware - the actual hub ends of my wheel needed some grinding to fit my pre-formed fork hub slots, as my fork was intended to fit a 100x12 hub; not a 100 x 15mm.No modification was needed to this thru axle adapter. It was only my specific wheel hub that needed modification.
