About this item

  • Next-Generation X-axis: The 4040-PRO MAX has a 15.7" x 15.7" x 3.1" work area. Its X-axis is composed of modify SBR16 linear rails and a lead screw to reduce machine vibration and provide high precision and motion stability during fast, high-power wood/metal engraving operations, improving production efficiency. The integrated dust plate minimizes maintenance costs and extends service life.
  • Stable & Precise: The Z-axis adopts a lead screw and linear rails structure that enhances vertical motion stability, reduces vibration, and ensures precision and repeatability. Repeatable positioning accuracy error of only ±0.005 mm, which is essential for intricate surface carving.
  • Powerful Performance: Equipped with a high-powered 710W compact router for superior engraving and cutting.
  • Increased Pass Height: Offers a 100mm pass height, over 40% higher than the PRO version, for engraving taller materials. Upgrade your trimmer without worrying about a reduction in engraving height.
  • Wireless Functionality: Upgraded mainboard supports wireless control; optional Wi-Fi module (Asin: B0D1BZW5LY) available for seamless integration with the official APP.
  • Upgradeable Design: Compatible with additional accessories like the 4040-PRO Y-axis extension kit, 4th-axis rotary module kit, and dust shoe. Numerous upgradeable accessories available to tailor the machine to your specific needs.

The machine arrived well packaged. Assembly was easy, but when I went to turn it on.... nothing. I talked with Tech Service and they were very helpful. They sent me some new parts including an entire left rail assembly and a new circuit board. Turns out the power switch connection was loose. The new parts fixed it right up. Haven't had a chance to use the machine much yet, but I'm impressed with the build quality. And so, while having to wait for parts was a disappointment, their Tech Service was very responsive.

Make sure the wiring in the first step is actually wired correctly from the factory. When it was time to connect to the motors, the connectors were on the wrong ends. I had to completely disassemble the whole machine to remove the wire and install it correctly. Also the instructions says to move side rails to the back when installing the cross beam, unfortunately it doesnt say to move it forward off the limit switch. When installing software and connecting to machine it gets stuck in a loop of warnings that doesn't explain what the actual problem is. It seems like it will work well but have only carved 1 simple project so far

Edit to original bad review : Reached out to Sainsmart, after mild Karen fit, they took care of all issues with good urgency.3 out 4 knobs for manual override of steppers were bent or stuck to the point that you couldn't move them. not much damaged to the box or anything.
