This CO2 detector works okay. Apparently rco2 levels are really really high. Don't know what to do with that but I ended up having to turn it off because it just wasn't going down and the police was bothering me. I know you could turn the voice off but I thought it was a carbon dioxide detector. It is not is strictly for CO2. So if you're looking for carbon dioxide detector, this is not it. But if you want a co2 detector, this works really well. Easy to set up. Easy to read, look a little bit annoying and I didn't unplug it. I just kept it plugged in so I'd not super sure about the battery life but it works okay.

This CO2 detector boasts an impressive build quality that feels robust and durable. It doesn't have a cheap or flimsy feel. The vibrant color display is a real winner, making CO2 readings clear at a glance. Even if you're new to monitoring air quality, the intuitive smiley face icons for good, okay, and poor levels make it incredibly easy to understand. However, the settings button is a letdown, seemingly unresponsive when you want to tweak thingsOne of my main pain points with this device is the charging experience. While it thankfully uses a USB-C port, don't expect your regular high-wattage chargers to work. Instead, you'll need a computer or a low-wattage charging port, which is quite inconvenient. And while it does have a rechargeable battery, its roughly 24-hour lifespan means it's tethered to a power outlet most of the time. This severely limits where you can place it.In theory, this detector offers a lot. The robust build, the excellent display, and the simple readings. But the frustrating charging limitations and short battery life hinders its usability and placement.

This unit seems to measure Carbon Dioxide (CO2) fairly well, and also shows the current temp, and humidity. The values it reports seem to be close enough for casual/home use, which I think is fine, since this does not claim to be a high precision device. But there are a few issues to consider before getting this unit:First, Do you really need/want a CO2 monitor, or are you actually looking for a Carbon MONOXIDE monitor (CO)? The difference is huge, and this unit does not measure CO. In a typical, well-ventilated home, CO2 isn’t usually a serious issue. There’s nothing wrong with monitoring CO2, but it is more of a nice to have thing in normal cases. Outdoor air is about 400–450 parts per million (ppm) CO2, and indoor levels are often in the 500–1000 ppm range, which is generally fine. If ventilation is poor (tight new construction, sealed windows, etc.), CO2 can build up — especially with many people inside or when combustion appliances are used. Levels from 1000ppm - 2000ppm might feel stuffy and make you feel tired or have a headache. Clearer symptoms like drowsiness, poor concentration, increased heart rate, or even nausea can occur at concentrations over 2000ppm.In contrast, monitoring for CO is very important. CO is much more dangerous than CO2. Every household should have a CO alarm. If that’s what you are looking for, don’t get this device. If you really do want a CO2 monitor, this model is ok, but has a few weaknesses to consider: It’s battery only seems to last for around 12-18 hours, so you need to keep it plugged in to a USB power supply if you want it to run all the time. And it does not track and report CO2 concentrations over time. A unit that can track and report CO2 levels over time would be more useful if you want to monitor your CO2 closely.

I gave it 5 stars but honestly I don't have test equipment so I can't verify accuracy. It all metal and substantial with a always on operation. I guess you have to decide if it's worth the price. Beside temp and humidity and time it's a CO2 detector which is kind of a general symptom of air quality. So after a few days I've changed my mind on this. The instructions which are not great say nothing about charging and operational times. If you leave this on all the time the screen does not go into sleep mode so barely 18 hours and the battery is dead. It's also not clear if it's really designed to operate continuously. It talks about longer term use but then it should either have a sleep mode or an A/C plug. It does not come with a power block and I'm not sure most charger blocks are designed to operate 24/7. Maybe a safety issue with that.As far as accuracy goes it seems to be erratic. At one time it's readings for temp and humidity seem right on and at other times it's 3 degrees off and I've seen it jump suddenly by 2 degrees for no reason. The CO2 I have no way to test. There are other units on the market that remedy this units shortcomings. They cost more but they do more and price doesn't matter if it's not a good unit.

For the price, I believe this CO2 monitor is a pretty good value. But if you need a high precision instrument, look elsewhere.I have other temperature and humidity sensors around, and they all agreed that this device showed temperature that was too high and humidity that was too low. However it seemed to track with a fairly consistent error, so if there were a way to calibrate, that would help. There is no way to calibrate it that I found.I don't have a way to determine the accuracy of the CO2 reading, but I tested by breathing on the device, so I can confirm that it is sensitive to changes in CO2 concentration. The fact that it has no data logging makes it less useful, and I personally found the voice alarm pretty useless, but it can be easily turned off.I might bring this device with me during air travel to watch the CO2 levels during a flight....
