Your cart is empty.The 1 lb roll of stainless steel wool is approximately 1/2" thick and 4" wide and is wound onto a 2" core to an outside diameter of about 6"; and is approximately 30 -35 feet long. It is enough material to wrap a 2" diameter baffle x 19" long to an outside diameter of approximately 5" when properly wrapped to the right tension. Stainless steel wool products withstand temperatures in excess of 700°C, exhaust acids and high vibration.

THIS WILL RUST EASILY!THIS IS NOT STAINLESS STEEL! I wet this under the faucet and left it in my dish rack overnight and it turned into a lump of rust. If you stuff a muffler with this it will turn into a disaster.

thinner than expected which was useful for stuffing into cracks to act as a rat barrier but not so ideal for larger openings. Glad I bought more than I thought I needed

Despite the claim on this product it is not stainless steel. It is magnetic and appears to be regular old steel wool which is made from iron and not stainless which is a nickel alloy and therefore not magnetic. I purchased specifically to get a material which will not easily rust to use to put in weep holes on our rock veneer to prevent scorpions from entering and was very disappointed to discover after I plugged all the holes that this material is not stainless and so will be rusting out very soon!

I used this to repack the heat shield around my muffler. It worked perfectly and has zero rust after 2 months. Plenty left to do the job several times over.

A quality product in an easy to use roll. Used to provide an insect barrier in drain holes in brick outside walls. Very effective and will not rustand Satisfied with this supplier and product.

Used it for packing on an exhaust for a rotory rx8 street and track car, used this and some ceramic to get the db under 105. Perfect and a great price. It's about a 4in-6 diameter roll. Fairly clean off the roll, not super dense so perfect for exhaust wrapping.
