These were perfect for the job. If you have never done this before, I would recommend practicing on an old cable line first. Instructions were easy to follow.

The tools are fine, but the cable terminators are easy to break , very low quality. Still worth it for the stripper and compression tool. Haven't tested the couplers.

When the TV stations stopped coming in from my roof antenna, I noticed the cable to the house had rubbed against a metal gutter and the casing was ruined. I ordered this kit, followed the instructions, and added a new piece of RG6 cable to fix the problem. All the tools worked great; the connectors worked great too. The only thing I would point out is, be sure to follow step 9 and rotate the crimping port on the crimping tool and adjust the nut length, it has to be screwed all the way in to make the crimp. This 63-year-old woman was very happy not to call a professional to repair the cable.

The stripper tool has three elements with no instructions. Two of these elements are under the handle: (-1-) apparently to cut off any cable squarely?? (-2-) for RJ?? Flat cable cutter? The third (-3-) is just behind the RG strippers and is for stripping outter layer of cable??A little more investigation of other strippers offered by Amazon confirms:above:(-1-) cuts through round cables(-2-) cuts flats and other side strips flats(-3-) strips round cables

I used these to repair direct-buried RG-11 cable that provides internet to my house. This fits that size cable and connector so I was able to successfully perform a repair and I have internet again.The instructions are only for (specifically) RG-8 cable, but the process applies for RG-11 as well.I found that the insulation stripping tool only partially worked for RG-11 (but fully works for RG-8). For the front cut (sorry for lacking correct technical terminology) it would strip down to the copper wire perfectly. For the back cut, it had trouble getting all the way through the insulation (to the braided metal) and I had to follow through with a razor.The crimp function works well. I found that I needed to crimp a small amount, rotate the connector, crimp a small amount more, and repeat until the connector was fully installed. If I tried to crimp the full length without rotating, the connector would deform and not install correctly.I used one RG-8 connector, and it worked, but part of the metal body started to split when the crimp was fully inserted. It works, but looses a bit for quality there.Overall, this works, it's not perfect, but it helped me get my repair completed quickly.I forgot to take pictures before burying my cable so I have none to upload. :(

This kit has everything you need to make professional RG-6 cable crimps (I didn't try the other cable sizes). The cable cutter/stripper is so easy to use and makes perfect cuts and strips. The included male connectors were a litte tricky to push on the end of the stripped cable (you have to make sure the white insulation stays perfectly centered in the connector and you have to push hard to get it on), but once in place the blue handled crimper couldn't be easier to use. Professional RF leak-proof connections every time. I love the little carrying case too. Great value purchase!
