The kit itself is nice. Torch did not work for us. The latch on it was broken and it would not hold butane. Will have to purchase a new torch in order to use the kit.

I love the cocktail smokers because it adds a depth and flavor to your drink. This is a nice gift set for anybody and I did gift it to somebody in my life. They absolutely loved it. The fact that it comes in a nice carrying case and has everything you need, minus the butane, to get started right away. It is a done deal. This will take anybody’s drinking game to the ultimate level as well as hosting parties.

I got this cocktail smoker kit as a gift for a friend who loves his old fashioneds and it did not dissapoint.It comes with all the bells and whistles to upgrade your drink buiding experiences. The quality, ease of use and value for the money spent is all there. It also looks great and will impress your friends.I recommend this for purchase for yourself or as a gift and will be purchasing some as gifts in the future, myself.

As stated, this is an awesome smoker kit, it has all the right tools, and great selection of flavors to enhance your favorite beverage. The kit is fun to use with friends or just by yourself. The ice ball molds are also easy to use and can be left in the freezer until ready to use.This would make a great gift for a friend or family member the cost is not too high for the set considering what all comes with it.I can recommend this for ones self or as a gift.

First, it does what it says it will do: add smoke flavor to cocktails. I mostly use it with whiskey neat in a sour glass, which has plenty of room to hold the smoke produced. There are multiple wood types to add smokiness including both fruit and nut woods. The spherical ice molds are a nice touch, too. The downside? It's a little difficult to keep the chips lit. I don't know if that's because the mesh burner basket sits directly on the lower piece, but as soon as I turn off the torch the embers die. I gave it a longer shot with the torch and covered it immediately, which seemed to work okay. Speaking of the bottom piece, its bottom is flat, which means it will easily slide off the glass if you accidentally tap it from the side (ask me how I know). A rounded bottom would be better. And speaking of the torch, the first time I picked it up, the base came off. I could put it back on (and twist it to "lock" it) but the fit is so loose it wobbles. It's easier to use the torch without the base because of that, but you'll want the base on the torch to be able to stand it up. Otherwise, the torch works fine. It would do well for carmelizing sugar on a creme broule as well. I do note that both the torch and the wooden burner and lid are different from the pictures in the instructions, and the ones in the pictures do not appear to have the problems I note here. Overall this works, but I think there is room for improvement.
