This is a good project holder for upper medium and large projects, especially for seasoned embroiderers. I have several beginner kits that just won’t fit in this frame to work on them, which is too bad.The wood is good quality and it’s easy to figure out (which is good since the instructions are only on the product listing and not in the box). Holds the tension decently well, it needs to be adjusted every so often but so do my hoops. Two widths in the box, in case you’re doing a very large piece.Generally good I do wish it was height adjustable as well as width and maybe came with a bigger variety.

You get the stand with two options - shorter and longer rods. ONly one set of clips and one set of knobs is included, though. The rods look like they were made of wood, maybe birch? I am not sure. But the sides are some kind of composite material with veneer applied at both flat surfaces. It is pretty smooth. The middle rod doesn't screw on, it is simply inserted in the divots, but it stays in well. The knobs seem to secure the rods. So far it seems to stay tight, but I am not sure how well it would last. The middle rod helps to keep the frame off the table or off your lap.
