Well I think it's a perfect moka pot. I use my usual fine grounds per my Capresso grinder instructions for "Stove Top Mocha Pots". I think you can fill the water to about 10 oz before you reach the little pressure cap, and the coffee chamber fills well with my two scoops of grounds. So I usually do 6 oz per scoop, or 12 oz water, so I'm making it a little stronger. Long story short it is strong and wonderful. Stronger than drip. More concentrated I suppose. I find it enjoyable black or with cream. For black, I prefer strong concentrated coffee, and this hits the spot. It's delightful to see the coffee start to flow into the top chamber. Totally recommended.

Note: This doesn’t come with the electric heater in the picture. It’s just the pot itself.I had another, smaller Moka pot for one. But I had been meaning to get a second one for guests, or just to indulge in more than one cup for myself. The six cups would be six espresso sized cups. For us, it makes about three lattes or cappuccinos. I just have the milk frother ready to go, pour the heated milk in the mug and then the coffee. This pot works great, as expected. Honestly, part of the beauty of the Moka pot is the simplicity of the technology. It’d be hard to mess up unless the materials used were substandard. I’ve used this three times now without a problem. It’s even made a coffee convert out of a non coffee drinker.Top tips:1. Pre-heat the empty bottom of the pot over the stove on Medium-Low heat. The idea is, you want your coffee grounds to heat for as short a time as possible. This is what keeps the coffee from tasting sharp and acidic.2. To the same end and *most importantly*, boil water in a separate tea pot and fill the bottom of the Moka pot with it.3. Take the bottom of the pot off heat - use a dish towel - and carefully insert the funnel of ground coffee. Screw the top on and put it back on the heat, still at Medium-Low.Within a few minutes, the coffee will very gently bubble over into the reservoir without any burnt flavor. Remove from heat immediately to prevent overbrewing. If you want extra help, a tiny pinch of salt in the grounds will also enrich the flavor and prevent acidity.

Pros Well constructed. This looks and feels like a pot that will last a long time. Simple percolator operation. No need for extra filters. Easy clean up.Cons not really but just a few thoughts. The box is labeled 6 cups. This does not seem possible since the pot will only hold just under 2 cups, maybe this package also is used for a larger pot. For anyone that looks at this item and wonders if the two section can be stacked in side each other. nope

I'm not a stranger to moka pots and this is a very good 6 cup, (espresso size cups), moka pot.I'm using pre-ground Cuban espresso and filling the basket to the top with a very light tamp on top of the grounds, I then put a wet, paper basket filter over top of the grounds and screw the light on. I warm up my water and then pour it into the moka pot just below the valve and put it on the stove on medium to low heat and let the brain start. As soon as the cop starts to spit or bubble I remove the moka pot from the heat and carefully run the base under cold water in my sink, and this equals perfection every time. The wooden parts on the moka pot are imitation but they look very nice and almost real they have a good feel to them and the basket itself is very lightweight which is efficient for quick heating and helping with the pressure. This product is easy to clean, however I do not put it in the dishwasher.I would reccomend this product.5 of 5 overall.

I use moka pots daily and own several of them. This is a classic style moka. The filter holes are fine so you can use the finest grind espresso (some larger pots have too large of holes for fine grind). The boiler (lower) chamber is heavier gauge aluminum in order to handle the pressure, while the collector (upper) chamber is slightly lighter gauge aluminum which is perfectly acceptable because it is not under pressure. The screw threads are slightly rough but work fine and I experience no steam or water leakage during brewing. As with all moka pots, never use the handle to screw/unscrew the two chambers or you will eventually break off the handle. The aluminum filter is typical classic lightweight aluminum, so treat with care because banging it hard could eventually dent it.
