Bought these for a trip to Canada, though in all honesty we only used them a couple of times on trails. It was just as easy to sing 'bear' songs and chat loudly, which has the same effect of warning the bears and giving them a chance to move away.

Diese Glocken haben mir das leben gerettet. Bei meiner letzten Wanderung im Sommer 2023, über die Seizer Alm, ist mir nicht ein einziger Bär begegnet. Dank dieser Glocken haben die Bestien reis aus vor mir genommen. Auch Wölfe und Bergpumas haben sich nicht blicken lassen. Gute Glocke, guter Preis. ;)

I think it worked :) we hiked a lot and saw a few bears from near and afar. But never too close to use bear spray on them. Bells are an assurance and it is better to have then than not.

I bought these for our son and his friends for a deep into the national forest hike and I decided to buy two more for my husband and I since we hike quite often.

I used these hiking in the middle of Grizzly country in Glacier National Park. Having the bells made me feel secure when no one was around and they were easy to silence when big groups of people were around.

Plenty of noise to scare off unwanted woodland creatures but cut off the "silencer pouches" as they just gave our dogs something to bite at.
