I bought these for my VW based sand rail with a type 1 swing axle. They did not fit the mounting location on the axle which is stock. This was disappointing but not that big of a deal, the seller accepted the return and I took them to UPS. The return process was terrible, I have never had to pay for return shipping with any Amazon product until these. The cost for shipping was half of what the shocks cost in the first place! If you are considering these shocks, you’d better be certain they are what you are needing or you too will end up spending money for no reason.

Ok , here's the deal. I installed these on a 2022 ezgo valor with a 7 inch Rhox lift kit. The original front coil over shocks had no, I mean zero travel , when I installed I did have to remove a small amount of the shocks mounting points. And yes I did lose about 2 inches of ride height. But golly miss moly, the ride is now incredible ! I am running them on the softest setting and haven't tried firmer. If they ever wear out, I will replace them with the same product . Very Happy!

Worked great. I use this vehicle to pickup my customers equipment for service. trailer and equipment weight lowers the vehicle a bit to much so I found these struts and with a little modifications they work perfectly. Brought the vehicle ride hight up 1 inch and much more support in the rear for the little extra weight. Also did not affect ride quality it already sucks. Lol.

I was very impressed by how easy to install these shocks. Before I installed them I compressed them to make sure they functioned and there were not defective. Once in stalled it actually raised my Bugs rearend up by about two inches. I was pleasantly surprised. The shocks can be adjusted by the spanner wrench for softer or stiffer suspension. Just takes about 5 to 10 minutes to adjust. If your looking for a fair price and a decent shock look into these. I've tried many different types and these are by far the best fit for my needs. Probably would work for yours as well. As a bonus you might get a little lift from them, like I did.

Shocks installed easily. onlu had to cut sleeve extensions on bottom to fot stock bolts. took 5 min on a band saw. Air shocks would not work to keep suspension even after increasing torsion bars. Thes hels the suspension as it should at lowest setting. we will try a higher setting if suspension settles, but rides and handles great.

Very happy! We installed These on the front of our homebuilt dune buggy. This vehicle weighs 980lbs, is the size of a Smart Car and with two adult riders (400lbs), it performed flawlessly! Beats the hell out of the crappy coilovers we had. Thanks!

I purchased this to add some extra lift and spring dampening to the front of my 1987 GMC S-15 pickup, and they work amazingly. With a 9,000lb winch installed in a custom winching bumper, along with a larger/heavier engine, removed swaybar, and 36" tires - the front end needed more load capacity. The torsion bars are already maxed out, and I have a 2" body lift installed with the fender arches trimmed. After the upgrade from the 33 x 12.50 tires to the 36 x 15.50 tires, and going spring over axle in the rear, the amount of sway and death wobble the truck had made it undrivable. Replacing the shocks with these coilovers gave the front end the much needed extra stiffness, and gave me roughly 1.5" of additional lift (If I didn't have the winch and custom bumper it would probably be more). I think this is also going to help greatly with front end squat when attaching the snow plow to the front of my truck, as that's even more weight than the winch and bumper.Installing these in place of my shocks required me to drill out the mounting holes slightly larger. After that they just went right into place. I'ts an upgrade I'd definitely recommend! The 36 x 15.50's are on 2WD wagon wheels (as were the 33 x 12.50's) and DO rub during compression while steering and do not allow me to go at full lock. But after adding these coilovers I do get less rubbing than I did before, but more importantly the truck is much more stable at all speeds.
