These have no cardboard backing - very irritating to use - no stability to write on - won't buy again

So these will do for now, but I won't buy any more. Couple reasons:1. The backboard is not stiff. In fact, its as flexible as the paper. I don't see the purpose it serves. You will need to use this on a table or desk or use something else behind it to write on it. You won't get good results if you just hold it in one hand and write with the other.2. The pages are not perforated. Since the tape that holds the pad to the backboard is thin and flexible, its also not useful in helping to tear off a page in a straight line. So as you use the pad it just gets messier.3. It is not legal-ruled or college-ruled. This I missed in the long long title, which calls it a legal pad and notes that its useful for college, but DOES state that it's wide ruled. I just didn't read it closely enough. So that's not a dealbreaker, just not my preference, but it does mean you don't get the most use out of a page. So if you didn't read the title fully, do so and make sure its what you want.I'll probably get a small clipboard or such so its easier to use on the go.

Most have a hard cardboard back. These don't. For what I'll be using them that won't matter.5 stars if it was hard.
