Took this on a big camping trip and it was a hit. Made about five pots each morning and everyone preferred percolated coffee over instant.I found success using a course grind and one of the filters for each pot. Only fill the water up to the point just under the lowest hole in the spout to prevent boiling through.It takes some time to determine how long to brew a batch and it’s determined by how much ground coffee you use, the blend, and your taste so get some practice before attempting to impress your friends.

Works great! The top hinge is not as advertised, it different, but it works. Makes great coffee once you figure out your ratio coffee to water and once it starts percolating cut heat back as low as possible to continue to percolate until your desired color. I let it go for about 8 tp 9 minutes after initial perk.

I went through two of these and had to send both back. The quality control (QC) on these is off. It’s like the person in charge of qc never checked to see if the glass top actually would go on. Back to back I received ones where the top just spinner and did not tighten down, making it worthless
