I got this because I have a recent knee injury, which makes it difficult for me to stand through my son's 18 hole golf tournaments. This device is super light, very sturdy. Everybody comments on how neat it is to have a portable stool.I weigh about 180 lb, and have had no problem on unsteady ground, grass, gravel, with this stool. It's easy to wipe clean. It folds up nicely. Once in a while it does get caught but it's easy to pull apart and put back down together. This is a lightweight, must have item for anybody with children in sports, especially where you don't have a place to just sit and watch. Take a load off!

I really like this stool, but I wish it came with some kind of padding for the top. It will really hurt your tush if you sit on it for more than 10 minutes. I ended up cutting out a foam piece and gluing it to the top to add some cushion. I love how portable the stool is and how easy it is to open and close. It's great for when you have to wait in line somewhere for extended periods. It's very sturdy and durable. I look forward to using it for a long time. I took 1 star off because the top is hard to sit on as there's no cushion.

I had previously purchased another folding stool just like this one that DID come with a memory foam cushion and carry bag. The added 1-1/2" height of the cushion (VERY COMFORTABLE) and the ability to carry everything in a backpack made it absolutely perfect!The original listing for this stool mentioned a cushion---which this one does NOT have.This updated listing mentions a carrying bag--which it does NOT have.PROBLEMS SOLVED -- Amazon sells a 12 x 12 memory foam stool cushion for $15.00, and a lightweight backpack can be easily found at a dollar store.YES, this amazing folding stool IS everything wonderful that others have stated in their reviews.YES, it is very sturdy and compact.YES, it is a good height and very comfortable.Keep it in the car for whenever you need the ability to get off your feet: on a hike, concert, farmers' market, sporting event, etc.NOTE: The "Ice Cream" color is more of a light aqua than white--very pretty!

My husband is not a small man. He's over six feet tall and over 200 pounds. He's a heavy equipment mechanic, so he's a solid dude. I myself have one of these with a round seat. I'm petite and like the size of it for me. I got him this one with the square seat because I hoped that it would be more comfortable for him, because he actually has a bum, lol.This seat was a total success. We took it to a vending show along with some padded folding chairs. Our sons appropriated the folding chairs because anytime they looked too hard at this stool, their dad cut his eyes at them. He LOVES this stool.It's plenty wide enough for him to sit comfortably, it's a great height for him, he sits straighter while sitting on it, so he said that his back wasn't hurting nearly as much with the folding chairs, where he feels that he has to balance his weight differently, and where he also has the ability to slouch while sitting in them much easier than when sitting on this stool.It holds his weight perfectly. I was worried that the stool wouldn't be sturdy enough. But he was up and down on it, showing customers merch, pointing things out, running transactions, just sitting and talking to folks, and this stool didn't groan, squeak, crack, or collapse. It is super sturdy and strong.It takes nothing to open. He just flicked his wrist and boom, it opened right up. A grip and twist of the top collapses it just as easily, which is why I was surprised that it stayed up the entire time even with him getting up and down so frequently. It locks open and stays open. The plastic is thick and feels strong and solid.He likes the pale teal color. He says that he won't lose it amongst our booth, which has black tablecloths to hide the excess merch behind. It looks nice too, and it doesn't take up any space when it folds down. He likes this so much that he's decided to just keep this in the truck, 'just in case'. He'll be taking it camping as well and this will fit in our camper easily. It's comfy enough to sit on for hours, so we'll use his and mine outside often when we're out and about. This stool makes cleanup a breeze. No folding, then dragging, then finding a spot to fit this. Just collapse and tuck it away.Price point is perfect. I'll be picking up two more, one for each son, since they're both jealous now, lol. This thing is useful, sturdy, weatherproof, really holds its shape and weight, collapses to save space, and it just works!

Received this just in time to use tomorrow. It arrived all in 1 piece and easy illustrated instructions for how to open it out to height you want and how to close it back down. When closed, it's smaller than a seat cushion and has a strap to carry it. I'll be toting this around in my scooter backpack. When my husband and I go out to parks, there are not always seats available for him to rest or eat. No longer need to worry about that with this stool. I'm a bit heavier than him and I pressed down on it a few times and then sat on it and moved a bit. The stool was steady and did not budge, creak or threaten to collapse. It has passed the weight test and he can now use it with complete confidence.I've seen the stools that have a bicycle type seat on a tripod. Easy to carry but always gave me misgivings as to their stability and comfort. I have no worries about those with this one.I was not sure if price was justifiable but I'm quite pleased with this and will have no problem recommending this to friends. It's a good investment for outings.

What a great idea. I carry this around at festivals, big store shopping trips.I had multiple injuries due to a near fatal automobile accident.I am unable to walk long distances. I am ok for a time….but….,then you know all of the sudden you have to sit down and you need to do it NOW….Thank goodness for this product.It is light to carry, and easy to pull apart to sit.It is pretty to look at and it is durable and sturdy. I feel secure sitting on it. It is an easy height for me to stand up on my own.It is an absolute necessity.
