Three stars instead of five because the product I received included one (the center unit) that would not tilt on its base at all. I suspect it may have had excess potting compound in it that prevents it from moving. I found I could easily adjust for this simply by placing it differently than I had intended, and it worked out fine.All in all this is a pretty neat and quick solution for outdoor (pond) lighting. Although there isn't the full spectrum of colors to choose from, there are enough to add very nice accent lighting.This product would work best in clear ponds without excess algae (as any would) because they are a little less powerful than an established / professional brand product. They are worth the price, however, and if your pond has a lot of algae, simply place them near the bubbler or behind a waterfall. The work fine out in the open as well, to shine on the pond from the outside or above; and also as landscape accent lighting. Brightness can be toned down!These are black bodied, so they blend into the pond liner color well.

Certainly best used as a mood/ambient light than a bright, strong spot. As others have said (and as the product description states), the "white" light is the RGB bulb combo, which results in a dim light blue with a flowering of R/G/B edges, which would probably look lovely through water caustics. Holding the light a foot away from the surface it lights still results in a somewhat dim blue light. This being the case, the indulgent product shot of the high water fountain being light almost blindingly bright from beneath by this light is a great exaggeration.Minor gripe or wish-list would be that the "smooth" color transition could be a bit slower, or that there be speed settings for the transition.Mobile app was not tested (perhaps the speed features could be found there).

If this came with the ability to extend the cord from the plug to the first connection in front of the low voltage converter, it would have garnished 5 stars. As it is, I have to run an extension cord to the plug on the lights and that exposes the plug to the elements. This is not grounded! and as such I won't really be able to leave it plugged in and therefore it becomes unusable for our application. I may look to modify it which will void any warranty, but i contacted the store that sells through Amazon and they have no extenders available. Just measure were you look to use it and make sure you have no more than 6' from plug to the water edge. The 9.5' to the first light is actually not the distance from outlet to where it can enter the water as you need slack to submerse the light. It seems well built and the timer works for turning on at the same time and off after 4 hours of use in the evening. If they sold an extension compatible with the plug in front of the low voltage converter, it would be great. The lights at full brightness are about 1/4 as bright as my LED installed pool lights. I purchased this to light up some bubblers in our pool and will have to figure out how to extend the cord after the converter to use it.

Ordered these to go in my Dolphin, water fountain. However I’ve changed my mind, go figure. They are going in myLiving Room entertainment center. Which is huge. I’m using them as spot lights for my book collection and my larger seashell. It looks amazing with the colors, the brightness of the lights, plus the ability to plug into an outlet.Easy to install, value for me is the look, durability of a well built product, functionality that you can use these anywhere you like. So yes I’m pleased with this product… Again I love setting the lights to my mood, or to bring me out of a bad mood. It works wonders for me… This entertainment center definitely needs lights underneath.
