this may work for pastels/ chalk, but definitely not color pencils. Almost no tooth

I like drawing on big black paper. This is the largest black pastel pads I could find on Amazon. Good value and the protective sheets in between are a very good feature. I wouldn’t call it professional pastel paper, at least not for soft pastel. May work better for oil pastel. It doesn’t have a lot of teeth and isn’t very thick. But I learned a trick to prime the sheet with 1-2 layers of clear gesso. It’ll buckle a little first, then return to being flat once gesso dries. After priming it feels very much like sandpaper and takes soft pastel very well. So good, budget practice pastel paper overall and can be used for more serious work if primed.

Nice pad but not a lot of truth to the paper. The paper pads were packed in an envelope inside of a box with a little packing. Cant use as professional work creased corner.
