This Columbia fleece jacket is so warm and soft, I got it for my 11 year old son for the Florida winter. This is perfect, it is warm enough to just wear it in the early mornings and yet, not too hot or bulky to have it with him in the warmer afternoons. It is also water resistant which is a big plus for us. The jacket fits him a little big but not too bad. The product is well priced for the high quality.

I got this jacket in size small for my 7 year old son, who has a slim build and is of average for his age height. He mostly wears size 8 clothing. The tag on the jacket reads S (8). The jacket fits my son very well. The sleeves are just the right length. The jacket is not exceptionally roomy but there’s space for a sweatshirt underneath if needed.Shell and the lining are made of 100% polyester. The overlay is made of 100% nylon. This is a lightweight jacket. It’s a cross between a fleece sweatshirt and a light jacket. The interior is all made of soft and cozy fleece. The exterior has an overlay of waterproof nylon fabric. Most of the back and the collar as well as the top parts of the sleeves and the upper front are covered by this nylon overlay.There is no hood. There are two side pockets with zipper closures and one chest pocket with velcro closure. There’s no loop for hanging. There’s a label inside for writing the child’s name.The quality of materials and workmanship are excellent. All zippers work smoothly.My son likes this light jacket a lot. It’s a perfect option for when it gets too cold for not having a jacket but too warm for a winter type jacket.

I got this for my 10 year old for fall and winter for our cold Pennsylvania seasons. As soon as he put it on, he said, “THIS IS SO WARM!” I ordered a size 14-16 intentionally to size up, and you can see it still fits rather large on him, meaning it will last me several seasons. The quality is true to Columbia, and just as good as other pricier name brand alternatives which we also have. 5 stars from both my son and me.
