I live in Central Texas, where we have pretty mild winters most years. However, we've had winter storms in each of the last 3 years, with power outages and pretty cold temperatures, even compared to winter temps in Indiana, where I grew up. I wanted to be ready for the cold this year. I spend about two hours each night outside feeding community cats and the light winter jacket I usually wear doesn't cut it, even with lots of layers, when it's really cold.I looked for a jacket designed for cold weather and longer than many light winter jackets. This Columbia Women's Peak to Park II insulated hooded jacket is EXACTLY what I wanted. It's long enough to cover my bum. It has a very soft fleece lining in the collar and hood, while the rest of the jacket is lined with a soft polyester fabric. The synthetic insulating fill is light and puffy in the body and arms. The jacket fits true to size. It is relatively form fitting but it also has room to add extra layers when it's really cold outside.The removable hood is attached to the jacket with four snap fasteners. It is so much easier to deal with the snaps than trying to line up the zipper on the hood and jacket to attach the hood, which is how hoods are attached to most of the rest of my jackets. I was concerned that cold air might come in under the hood where it attaches with the snaps but the jacket is so well designed that I've never felt the slightest cold air, even when riding my bike in below freezing temps and 20+ mph wind.The product listing for this product lists some features that it doesn't actually have. At least my jacket doesn't have them. It doesn't have an internal security pocket and I miss this feature. My jacket also doesn't have thumb holes in the cuffs. I don't miss thumb holes at all. If it's cold enough to use the thumb holes I wear gloves. While the cuff doesn't have thumb holes, it is very comfy and does a great job of keeping the cold air out. Finally, the listing says the hood is removable, with removable faux fur trim. The hood IS removable but it does not have removable faux fur trim. I actually consider not having faux fur trim on the collar to be a bonus. If it did have it, I would remove it immediately and never touch it again. But if you do want faux fur trim you will probably be disappointed.All in all, I really like this jacket. It is soft and warm. It looks great. The price is reasonable. And it's surprisingly resistant to rips and tears.

Lo pedí para recibirlo en otro país, estaba un poco preocupada porque no sabía si lo iba a poder devolver si no me quedaba bien o no venía en condiciones.He quedado satisfecha, solo pesaba 2 libras y el paquete sellado, si está nuevo con sus etiquetas. Lo pedí en negro, y la verdad es que no brilla tanto es sutil, y yo lo pedí para viajar al final del año, ya que voy a andar en temperaturas muy bajas y un poco húmedas, entonces lo quiero usar en capas, la recomendación era una talla más. Yo soy M, pero me gusta que me queden oversize para que me de espacio de ponerme capas. La talla L funcionó perfecto, me queda con un estilo oversize pero con forma. Me da espacio para más ropa, sin ser tan grande. Cumplió mis expectativas.

Purchased this on super, major discount (apparently down from $190 to like $50)… SO worth it!I purchased a Large so I could layer and am usually a M/L/10/30 waist. Added bonus, with the extra room comes some extra length (covers well below my hips).

in other columbia staff my wife is L, but this jacket its really big. check it back before buy or buy two sizes less.
