The MMA Kickboxing shin guards are great protection for kickboxing and for working out, kicking at a punch bag. These have enough padding to prevent you from getting hurt. They fit well and conform to your leg. You will appreciate the ease with putting them on. The hook and loop closure does a great job keeping them in place. The bottom is an elastic piece that can fit most feet. I like them.

If you're fight training or training every day these are just too padded to condition your shins. They are comfortable and the fit securely to the leg (those these are a little big for me). If they offered less padded styles I would buy these again in a smaller size.

It took me a little while to get used to these Ringside Combat Sports MMA Kickboxing Shin Guards. I’ve owned a couple of other sets of shin guards and both were the pull-on types. Using velcro straps (at mid calf and just above the ankle) on these shin guards was a different experience and took just a little bit longer to put on. Once I had them on, however, I found that they hold the legs fairly well. I also like having the adjustable velcro straps on these guards as I can wear sweats or other athletic pants with these versus my old pull-on shin guards.Some negatives I noticed: I did experience some shifting of the guards (either a few inches to the right or left) after I worked the bag for a while. I actually didn’t notice they had shifted until I was finished with my set as the padding at the front and sides is so thick and shock absorbing that the impact of my kicks didn’t feel any different. I guess that’s a testament to the good quality of these shin guards. Additionally, there’s an elastic piece under the foot, just forward of the heel, that holds the guards in place so they won’t ride up or shift too far either way. Another issue I encountered is that when I walk down stairs with these on, the velcro straps rub and chafe the back of my ankles quite a lot. This is not going to be an issue for anyone unless they have to walk down stairs as I do (my locker room is upstairs and the heavy bags and training rooms are downstairs). I did not notice any rubbing when I was just walking around the floor, on the mats, or in the ring.In terms of durability, these shin guards seem quite sturdy. Note that they are made of synthetic leather. I’ve owned other Combat Sports synthetic leather products before and never had a problem with any of them. I’ve also found the synthetic products easier to clean and faster drying. All in all, these are a sturdy and useful pair of kickboxing shin guards that do the job well.

I have two issues. But first: these work well to guard your shins and feet. I kicked and was kicked and felt nothing! But the issues for me are that the size I got was uneven. One side fit my feet well, but the other was cut weirdly and didn't fit. It actually hurt my feet. Plus they didn't fit me well and seemed a little small overall. I'm not sure whether or not these are normal quality for this brand but I'll go somewhere else next time.

Very well padded, fits securely, but it took me a couple of times training to get used to this shin guards because it's very thick. I still want to recommend this shin guards to everyone.
