Great bridle, very nice quality leather, fits beautifully, and I love that it is made to fit the horse comfortably. I feel my horse more supple in this bridle that I bought two . One for daily and one for shows.

Very good product, only reservation is that sizes can vary. I ordered a cob size for a 15 1 Connie cross and it was too small. The FSIs much better but check pieces a little long.

Nice bridle but REALLY big size. My mare normally struggles with fit (she has a massive head and is 17’1) but this is big on her!Like the bridle though

My horse had to have surgery to have a high molar removed. He was upset all of the time even after he was totally heeled. I tried this bridle in desperation and he is doing much better and getting more confident every day.

This one is difficult to review.On one hand, I LOVE the concept. I hate flash nosebands with a passion due to where they sit on the face and how tight you’d have to do them up just to make them function how they are supposed to. I love drop nosebands, they make a ton of sense, but can be very hard to fit right. I love grackles, again, they make a ton of sense, but they can be a little too vague of a feel to the horse. This combines both perfectly, avoiding soft nasal tissue while also avoiding major nerve clusters, bones and molars, gives the jaw more of a cradling feel than an strict KEEP YOUR MOUTH CLOSED feel, you don’t need to over tighten to get the idea across, and it doesn’t pull the noseband down like a tightened flash.The headband is just a lovely, flattering shape, the crownpiece is wide, well padded and fitted behind the ears. The leather seems surprisingly lovely and quality for the price. Sure, it doesn’t include reins, but for the price, so far, the bridle itself is worth the price. So why two stars?Because the sizing is SO off and odd it’s unreal. I’ve always owned horses that fit cob sized halters and bridles. I’ve had many many different brands of each, and cob sized has been pretty consistent across a very wide variety of brand and styles.My current youngster is small and weedy. He wears a 68” blanket, a Rambo cob sized halter on one of the smallest adjustments. He wears my 12 y/o’s cob sized bridle just barely (it’s borderline too big for him)Cob size in this bridle wouldn’t even go behind his ears set to the biggest size. This would fit a pony.I tried a horse size, and while it fits, when it stretches, it’ll probably be too big. The difference between cob and full is huge. I can’t even imagine what pony size looks like...probably fits a mini.I guess in all fairness, Collegiate has the measurements on their website, but still...I’ve NEVER had this big of a size difference in the 30 years I’ve been working with horses. And collegiate isn’t exactly new to the game, one of my early bridles was collegiate.So I guess check the sizing extremely closely before you purchase. It isn’t anything like other brands. Shame, because it’s just a lovely bridle and great concept at a great price.

Very bummed that there were no reins. Hopefully the reins bought separately would be the same shade or brown.

This is a beautiful well made soft leather bridle. It fit the horse I am riding very well and she seems happy in it.

The only reason I give it a 3 star is because the size. I ordered cob for my 15.3 mare and only the cheekpieces were incongruently small compared to the rest. I had to return it but plan to order the full size because I really like the ergonomics and quality of the bridle! And it’s very handsome.
