Haven’t used a paper straw since elementary school many moons ago. The quality is fantastic and good for more than one day. I care about the environment and know plastic straws are not good for it.

For a paper straw they are very sturdy. Packaged nicely for kitchen cabinet storage.Protect our planet. Please buy paper straws.

I drink a lot of iced coffees, and I like to use straws but I don’t like cleaning metal straws and I want to stay away from plastic straws, so paper is what I like to use. This is a good deal for 200 paper straws, especially with the quality of them. These straws don’t become mush within minutes of it touching liquids and I can’t taste the paper while I’m drinking my iced coffees.

I use these straws for the have a homemade smoothie I have nearly everyday for lunch. They function well, and I like that they are paper and not plastic. And I like that the paper is unbleached. But, just like all biodegradable paper, after drinking my smoothie for a while, the paper starts to deteriorate. It doesn't fall completely apart but it does start to absorb the moisture from the drink. The straws are wide enough that I have no trouble using them with the smoothie.

I no longer use any straws (ever!) since I saw the photo of the sea turtle with one stuck in his nose, but my elderly mom feels she needs to have a straw when she drinks her protein drink. These are a good alternative as they are hygienic and I can put them in my compost pile. I don't get why people have to use straws unless you have a medical condition but that's just me.

I was satisfied with these paper straws. I appreciated the fact that they didn't have colored ink or dye on them. They were pretty sturdy and held up for the duration of drinking a smoothie, cup of juice, milk, etc. I think if you left it sitting for a long period of time they would go soft, as by the end of my smoothie I noticed it was softening slightly but for one time use straws I would definitely recommend. I think they would also work for cake pops. I'll buy them again, with the kids home we are going through a lot of them and trying to avoid plastic straws.
