Excellent alternative to an ice bucket. Great price and quality product. I freeze it then place on my prosecco bottle. It kept it at the right temperature without having to be refrigerated. Looks nice and fits perfect.

This chilling sleeve helps in a couple of ways. It can be used to chill wine that has not been properly chilled in a refrigerator or cooler. White wines taste better when chilled and if company comes unexpectedly, this chilling sleeve can help cool wine to a better serving temperature.The sleeve will also help keep wine at a good temperature on a very hot day. If you don't have an ice bucket, this sleeve will keep beverages cool when outside. We have a camper and it is hard to keep beverages cold while traveling. The refrigerator is small so we have to be selective about what we put into the travel refrigerator. Having this sleeve in the freezer allows us to chill beverage bottles easily when we finally stop moving and setup our campsite.The gel in the sleeve does get stiff when frozen. You will need to use some pressure to get the gel to conform to your bottle for the best chilling effect. This is a very useful chilling sleeve that does not take a lot of room but has a positive impact on getting/keeping beverages cool.

In the spirit of accurate reviews, I tested the temperature of a standard 750ml bottle of white wine at 30-minute intervals. First, I froze the wrap flat, and while I’ve seen reviews saying it’s too stiff, it isn’t. Yes, it freezes stiff. You just need to put your hand inside to open it, then sort of “break up” the gel pack by squishing it in from the sides. The elastic has a lot of give, so even if you think it won’t fit over your bottle, try it. The elastic sides expand and it fits. I placed a bottle of white in the fridge for two hours then encased it in this fully frozen wrap. The first glass was of course refrigerator cold. I poured some of the bottle out into another container since empty air space doesn’t hold cold very well, leaving about half a bottle. An hour later I tried a bit more from the bottle - still cold. Half an hour later - still cold. It was about the two hour mark when I noticed the temp of the wine in the bottle not being as crisply cold. It does form condensation on the outside of the wrap, which is easily dealt with along the way (it’s not bad at all). So, all in all, if you’ll finish a bottle in under 2 hours, this is a great option!

While this is marketed for keeping wine cold, it also easily fits oversized water bottles. I'm using for both. It really keeps the wine or water cold for a long period of time. Great on hot summer days to keep my water cold while working in the yard. Love it!

Some of the reviews mentioned it being a little stiff, so I was skeptical when I got it. I was pleasantly surprised with how easy it was to put over a wine bottle, and how long it kept the wine cool outside of the fridge. The gel is firm but flexible. You can also stand it up in the freezer open a little to make it even easier to put wine bottles in. Great for when you want a bottle of wine and don't want to keep going back to the fridge to pour.

I thought these were going to be like bag type things that you add ice into along with your bottle of wine, but they're more like sleeves with ice pack gel in them. In a way its much better but I also don't think they'll keep the wine colder for longer than what ice could provide. Also, they're black which is a bit disappointing because it will absorb sunlight a bit more. Would have preferred a white variety.
