We ordered this scoop for our bread baking operation. The build quality is a bit lacking with a hollow handle, thin metal, and laser welded loop. I don't expect this to hold up well when dropped on a concrete floor or having something dropped on it. It might hold up well in a limited use application, but compared to higher quality scoops with solid metal handles and integrated loopholes, this scoop is definitely not at that level.

What you see in the listing pictures is what you get, and it is a good sized scoop that appears to be of good quality. Since I always factor price into my reviews, the fact that it shows as unavailable right now such that there is no price is a problem. It looks to be a good option, but I can't give it 5 stars without knowing that the price is also reasonable.

This is a nice scoop. I'm using it in our ice bin in the freezer portion of our refrigerator. The entire product seems well made. It's stainless steel and quite sturdy. The handle weld is strong but looks a little industrial. Also, where the handle was welded to the body, the inside of the scoop had some indentations of the handle. Almost like the handle had penetrated through the scoop. Regardless, it's very well polished and very shiny all-round. It's a nice-looking item.Overall, I think it's a good product. And for the price, it's certainly worth it. That being said, I've seen premium versions of these where the edges are nicely rounded and the materials are thicker. But with premium products come premium prices. In this case, this item is a good product for the price.I wouldn't suggest this as a gift, but only because the packaging is a generic brown box. No literature or fancy packaging.

I love this little scoop! This is our second one - the first we use with our bagged ice since our fridge is an old one, without an ice maker. Before we were using a mug to try and scoop ice, it worked ok - but this thing is so sturdy and the steel edges are so crisp that it just cuts right into the slightly stuck together ice like a blade. It’s awesome. We got this second one, ironically, to put in our giant bin of ice melt for the winter. So either way, we’re using it for ice 😂 It works great to scoop heaps of ice melt into our seed spreader.

Edit: 02/03/24I wanted to make an update to my original review. I originally ordered this scoop to use in the ice bin in my freezer. After using it for a couple of weeks we’ve decided that although it does work well for scooping ice, it’s not helpful to leave it in the ice bin. Since it’s metal, it becomes fully covered in frost and the ice cubes tend to cling to every part of it in clumps. Also, as I mentioned before, it gets so cold that it’s painful to hold onto it. I still think it’s a great scoop and really nice looking, so I don’t regret getting it. I’m just going to find another use for it. I have a very large, glass flour canister and I think I’m going to put the scoop in there. It’ll be useful and will look pretty seen through the clear glass. Long story short, it’s a lovely scoop but less than ideal if used as an ice scoop (unless you store it outside the freezer or ice bucket).Original Review:We have a refrigerator that has the icemaker in the freezer drawer and dumps the ice into a large bin. It came with a scoop, but I don’t think it will last long because it’s made of plastic. I chose this scoop to replace the plastic one. It’s very sturdy and is attractive with a high shine. It’s nicely shaped and balanced and allows you to easily scoop the ice from the bin. With the plastic scoop it almost felt like you had to dig into the ice. We felt like it was just a matter of time before it cracked and broke. This new scoop slides in and scoops much more smoothly and efficiently. It’s more convenient for us to leave the scoop in the bin with the ice and I have no regrets about getting this pretty, shiny new scoop, but boy the metal handle gets cold!

This is a 10 ounce metal ice scoop made of stainless steel. This could easily be used for pet food or flour/sugar/rice. I plan to use it to scoop bird seed out to my chickens. Over time, the plastic scoops I keep outside in the buckets of bird seed break due to the cold weather making them brittle. Luckily, this scoop is stainless steel and I don't have to worry about it becoming brittle and breaking in the cold. It has a hang ring (but I plan to store it in my bucket). As you can see the handle is welded onto the scoop portion with a very nice weld (not a cheapy weld that will break in a week). Great scoop!

This is exactly what I wanted - a large, durable scoop that will last for years. This is solid metal and feels sturdy, but it's not heavy at all. There's no way this is going to bend or break no matter what heavy product you might be scooping. It also has a loop at the end for convenient hanging. You can use this for so many things - potting soil, bird seed, rock salt, etc. It's a little too large for us to use as an ice scoop, but if you have a bigger ice container, this would work no problem. Overall great scoop, recommended.

This icemaker is on my counter and has made my life so much happier! It is easy to use, it's not too loud and I have ice available at any given moment!
