This item worked perfectly. People complaining about bolts snapping trying to get to 70ft/lbs of torque shouldn't be working on cars. Lug nuts are often torqued between 65-80 ft/lbs of torque. The screws are small. Ideal torque is around 10-15ft/lbs of torque. If you know what you're doing, the part is good for the price.

I have a 2013 Chevy Sonic that had a check engine light on. The most likely cause was the diaphragm in the value cover and unfortunately the only way to fix this is to replace the whole cover. I got this cover and figured I would give it a try.It was pretty simple to get the old cover off and cleaned up. Once that was done, you add a little silicone to the block and put the new cover on. I have had it on for a few months and the check engine light hasn't come on.Make sure that you look up the correct way to tighten the bolts when putting the new cover back on. They must be done in a specific order.Overall I am happy with this and hope it will last a long time.

Fit our 2016 Chevy tracks with no problems while solving several problems. Seems to be of good quality certainly a good price.

Update: I just had to replace this due to a bad oil leak that developed after a week. It appears the gasket failed. I didn’t see any defects before I installed it and the insulation was not difficult so I’m blaming it on the gasket itself. I have ordered a better quality gasket to replace it and see if it works better next time. This is one of those Cruze items that everybody has to replace occasionally. This makes the third valve cover on our Cruze after the original CPV valve died and the second one started leaking oil. These parts get a lot of bad reviews because of improper installation but when done proper they should last a while. This one is built solid and installed well. A little gasket maker in a couple spots and it's working good so far after a couple weeks with no oil leaks. This one did not come with a filler cap as some others do, which would have been nice since the o-rings tend to go bad. The old cap fit and seems to be working okay so far. Time will tell if the gasket holds and if the PCV valve lasts.

The valve cover is identical to the OEM one for the 2015 Buick Encore with a 1.4L ECOTEC engine. The valve cover comes with bolts that must be replaced they are for one-time use only. It takes less than an hour to replace the cover. Torque the bolts to 71 Inch/Lb and avoid over-torque with the tightening bolts order as shown in the attached photo.Place high-temperature silicon RTV when the timing chain cover and the head meet to prevent oil leaks. Ensure to transfer the oil filler neck and cap since this valve cover does not come with it. Overall this is a good value OEM alternative valve cover.

Not much to say other than it feels and looks just like OEM. As people ordering these know, the Pcv system is integral in these. So when they rupture, it pulls the diaphragm inside the cover here. Reminder that you will need your old oil cap, or the extension that comes on your old cover. This one feels sturdy, comes with the gasket and the bolts are all captured. Great alternative for the price!

Size and fit appears to be the same. Couple places I cleaned up the molding a little better at the edges. Integral valve works, most important, not bad to install yourself but you will need the specialty drivers.Commentary:Owner of a 2016 Buick Encore. At about 60k miles had an intermittent miss that progressed. In that case it was the integrated coil pack. At 80k miles a very pronounced miss returned and I assumed it might have been the coil pack again. It was not. The integrated PCR (round part on the cover) had failed and was constantly allowing air movement into and out of the engine which gave the computer fits. Unfortunately unlike most cars the valve is integrated into the valve cover so you will need the entire assembly. Be careful when removing and reinstalling the oil filler stem as well when you replace just has some weak plastic tabs to hold in place so may be worthwhile to grab one if planning the replacement.
