As someone with ADHD, I forget things a lot. One thing I always forget about is prepping dress clothes heading to a formal event. This is usually only realized when half dressed fresh out of the shower and on the verge of running late. I used to do the trick my ADHD mom taught me: to toss the wrinkly clothes in the dryer with a clean wet sock to try and steam them. With this travel steamer, the days of rushing down into a cold basement in socks and wet hair to run the dryer is over.The unit is quite small for a steamer, but still about the same height as a blow dryer which makes stowing it in a drawer, on a closet shelf, or in a suitcase easy. I wish it came with something to keep the clip on components together as I've already misplaced them somewhere. The unit heats up fast and works well to be able steam at home or on the go. It probably won't replace an iron for stubborn creases, but for smaller wrinkles it does exactly what it sets out to do.I am very happy with the order overall, but there are some negative things to consider. First I wish the button was on top of the steamer head instead of where you grip it around the neck. I am constantly half thinking about not hitting the button while trying to focus on steaming. The water compartment can also be difficult. When the tank is a little wet, it can be hard to pull it out of its housing. The fill portion is also quite small, meaning unless you use a funnel, you will make somewhat of a mess and the tank will be wet. One more portion I find a little annoying (which is the same for all steamers to my knowledge) is that I now need to keep fresh distilled water on hand. I never know when I will need the steamer, but it certainly isn't every day and is usually a "oops I need this right now" moment. leaving me to constantly check the distilled water to make sure I'm not spraying my clothes with stagnant water.All things considered: the size and the capability, especially at this price, this unit is great. It works well in a pinch and is easy to travel with. Any of the complaints I have, I can live with and are outshined by the results. My family has purchased Conair products for as long as I can remember and have never been disappointed. They have always made good products at an affordable price and this unit is no different, making this a very easy recommendation from me.

This is a great, effective compact steamer from Conair that removed a super-stubborn wrinkle in one of my button-down blouses that not even rewashing it or using a fabric wrinkle releaser would remove. A little patience on my part was required, as it didn’t work as quickly as I wanted it to, but it did heat up and was ready to use quite quickly. I also like that it comes with 2 attachments for either gentle or coarse fabric.The actual steamer is a little heavier than I was expecting (it’s top-heavy), so unless I really need to unwrinkle something on a trip, I’d probably forgo bringing this with me on trips. However, it is still fairly compact, especially since I can permanently bypass the iron and board and lets me minimize the clutter in my home. I did think having to use only distilled water was a drawback, but this would be a requirement for any fabric steamer and not brand-specific.A bonus is that it can effectively kill up to 99% bacteria and germs! I didn’t know this until I read the little booklet, but this is a great feature since I have pets and frequent dog parks where dogs sometimes jump on me with paws that have undoubtedly stepped in you-know-what. Now I can steam the yuck out of my clothes!

This is the first steamer I have ever had, and I am impressed. It heats up very quickly and is ready to use. I did have an issue of accidentally turning it off when holding it though, but that wasn't really a biggie. I wanted to try it on several types of fabric before I did a review. It was quick and easy to remove the folds in my linen table runner. Also did a good job removing the wrinkles from a blouse I had left to hang dry. Tried it on a very wrinkled cotton shirt that needed a good steam ironing. It worked pretty darn good. Got most of the wrinkles out and would be wearable just the way it is. It was hard to straighten out the button plackets and I'll still take an iron to it. I'm really happy with this steamer and it's so much easier than dragging out the old iron and ironing board. Would definitely recommend!

Worked pretty well considering I have nothing to compare to. I steamed my dress with a sheer overlay skirt. Took a while to get it done. Hard to keep tension on a skirt. It came out well. The only issue was that the water container was small and had to be filled many times. Worth the money, heated up fairly quickly. Seems sturdy and not heavy.

It took less than 30 seconds for the water to heat, and another minute or so of actual steaming for my slacks to become pretty much wrinkle-free right before an event. Being handheld with a swivel cord, this steamer maneuvers and passes over articles of clothing swiftly with ease. It’s also compact enough to bring along for travel. Steaming clothes is an efficient way to kill bed bugs. Knowing this, I could take this portable steamer to hotels to use after spending the nights there so that I won’t bring those pests home with me.I was also looking forward to the disinfection feature. To kill 99.9% of bacteria, instructions state to hold the steamer at least 1/2 an inch above an area for 2 whole minutes.Instead of a single steam button that could be pressed by accident, perhaps the design would be a lot safer if it also had an extra on/off switch, which only when flipped on can the steam button be activated.
