Tbese are tall, narrow candies such as those used for Christmas candlelight services or some outdoor services. I found that fit our small-sized German Advent arch perfectly (first photograph). I was expecting these candles to drip based on other reviews, but when put perfectly straight upright as in the Advent arch, they did not drip over the first four 1/2 hour uses of that arch (second photograph). Carefully inspecting the tops of the burned candles, I cannot see any sign that they will start to drip (third photograph). However, I do see a meniscus of liquid wax at the too of each candle shortly after I light them each time, so, if you held or mounted these candles at any angle other than straight upright and steady, I certainly expect that they WOULD drip wax with such use. They are much to tall and heavy to be uses in the German Christmas tree candle holders we have, so they are NOT suitable for that kind of use (which is highly dangerous anyway!), but for an Advent arch mounted on a fireproof surface that seem to do quite well for us. If you have a German Christmas Pyramid or one of the larger, 5-candle German Advent arches, these candles will probably be too small to fit correctly into those candle sockets, which appear to be one size larger, but for the small Advent arch they seem to be perfect.
