Yes, I read the description, 65% Polyester, 35% cotton, but straight out of the box and after one wash, this coat looks, feel and sounds like a plastic bag. It seems to me that the maker had durability in mind, hence going over board with the extra polyester (The US Army uses the 50% polyester, 50% cotton combination and that is perfect, as it still feels like fabric, not the case with this coat sadly).I am one of those people who believes reviews of products straight out of the box are useless, and here I am writing one myself. I wanted to write one upon receiving it, and I commit myself to update in a few months after intense wearing.First reaction upon seeing it, was, sheesh, this is plastic. Upon more detailed inspection you start to see the coat is really well constructed, the stitching seems solid (I cannot tell of the quality of the thread though) but the build quality is certainly there. The colour is exactly as described, coyote brown, a little on the darker side, but it fades just a tad after the first wash, but remains a very good colour. I actually like the colour after the first wash.The coat is almost an identical copy of the current US Army OCP coat, the only difference I noticed (and maybe due to copyright, is that the size (medium regular in my case) is slightly larger than the prescribed Army one, which is not necessarily a bad thing, but it would be good if it was as I own three different Army coats and I am very familiar with the fit.I am giving this coat three stars due to a couple of reasons:1) A five star for me is almost an ideal, I think I gave five stars only once. The item has to BLOW my mind, which is not the case here, not even close2) As mentions, it feels like plastic, and when you move, it sounds like plastic bags rubbing against each other, which is not very good. I am not sure if that will go away after some use, but I will update on that.3) The size is not true to the official Army coat.4) Straight off the box, it has a dim shine (due to the excessive amount of polyester) which I truly hope goes away after a few washes, otherwise it would be super annoying.5) Again, because of the amount of polyester, straight off the box, and even after one wash, the coat is very stiff, like it was heavily, heavily starched.I will keep the coat, and I really want to love it, so I will give it time. And as I said, I will endevour to write an update in a few months.
