When I ordered this I thought I was going to get a little play rug and all the pieces that came with it that's not what it comes with it comes with a little folded up plastic mat that never really loses creases or anything and always folds up when you're playing with it and mine was missing most of the signs and it didn't come with the logs or the little rocks or whatever so I had to ask for a refund the car is on the other hand are good but not worth $17

My nephew is 4 and he went nuts for these lil trucks. He loves anything with wheels lol. He didn’t even notice there’s no batteries — just zooms them around by hand and makes all the “vroom” noises himself. The playmat is soft kinda like felt? Not slippery at all which I liked since they play on the hardwood floor mostly. The crane and the log truck are his favs. They move around like real trucks which was cool, like the arm lifts and swivels, etc. He kept “fixing roads” and “building a zoo” — lots of imagination going on. Even the little signs got used, I didn’t think he’d care about those but he actually learned a couple traffic signs from it.Only thing, the mat could be a tiny bit thicker maybe, but not a big deal. My sis said it kept him busy for an hour straight so that’s a win. Def feels like it helps with hand stuff and thinking skills too.

The green dump truck had become one of my son’s very favorite cars! This set is great, I’m so glad we got them. Including picture with a Hotwheels car for size reference. The colors are bright and vibrant. They all have parts that move. The crane even has a knob that lowers and raises the hook. It’s not super common to find a crane or forklift in these sets so that has been something my son has really appreciated. His favorite color right now is green, so the green dump truck really does go with us a lot of places! He loves it! They’re plastic, but not flimsy in any way. One of my favorite sets of vehicles he’s gotten, either on Amazon or in a store. Not pictured, it also comes with several logs that the vehicles can transport, but I couldn’t find them at picture time!

This is a wonderful set for your little one. Each vehicle moves if you give it a few pushes in a direction… then the motor kicks in to carry it in that same direction. The signs are small so this truly isn’t for very young children as it could be a choking hazard. My only complaint about the vehicles is that the drum the fork lift carries was slightly crushed and there’s no way to reshape it back. Since this was like this right out of the box I have some concerns about durability. I would order this again.

What a fantastic toy set for my toddler! These little trucks are great quality, sturdy and go very far once you wind them up. The plastic is not flimsy and each little truck has different features that actually work, such as the crane. You can extend the crane to several inches then wind down a cord that helps grab other toys and wind the cord back up. My toddler has played with these none stop for several days, and he's rough on toys, so far they've held up. This is probably his favorite toy set right now.

Though the vehicles are plastic, they appear sturdy construction. They have some weight to them and do not feel flimsy. The truck crane, when extended is floppy and tips over (especially if there is something on the hook). The play mat is kind of a plasticized fabric, and the folds do not allow it to lay flat. All the of signs are pretty much junk--they are so lightweight and the bases are so small that most of them will not stand up or stay up. In my opinion, the vehicles are the only part of this set that are truly useful.

Okay, let's start with some definitions. Die cast technically refers to the manufacturing process, not the materials used. I have no idea if this was made using dies. HOWEVER, more typically, die cast means that something is made at least partially of metal. These vehicles are 100% plastic, and to be fair, the description says plastic. They are not cheap plastic toys, but I've also got nicer plastic vehicles, so these are very much somewhere in the middle, quality wise. The mat is REALLY nice. It's a thicker vinyl type of material that will wipe down easily, and will not rip easily. I appreciate that it's not felt, since that always collects dust and dirt and hair in my house. The signs are cheaper, lightweight plastic. Fine if you're on the gentle side with your toys, but my children are not. Still, they are fun to have with this set.Ultimate judgment: good for kids who are careful with their toys, not so good for heavy use by many kids or who are not careful.

I chose this item for my nephew who loves to play with cars. The mat is less like a rug and more like a plastic mat but still fun for kids to play with. I am going to adhere mine to some foam core to make it more stable.
