Pure Grip Compound
PureGrip Compound is derived from an activated Silica compound and is a good example of how we integrate customer feedback continuously into our research and development. This mixture technology fits in perfectly alongside the BlackChili Compound. The name PureGrip does exactly what it says; exceptionally good grip and durability are the distinguishing features of this compound. Engineered with PureGrip in our Performance products in our road and mountain bike ranges.
ShieldWall System
The ShieldWall System combines the optimum combination of high puncture protection and the low rolling resistance with low weight. This is made possible by an additional, all-round puncture protection layer, which consists of a finely woven cross fabric. This gives the tire a high resistance to punctures and damage. Despite its additional ply, the tire has a very good damping property and a high degree of flexibility to adapt perfectly to the ground. The revolutionary tubeless ready bead allows easy and uncomplicated mounting of the tire.
Tubeless and E-Bike Ready
Our carcass construction is robust and impervious against damage and penetration from foreign objects. The result: versatile, low weight and an attractive design. In addition, tires made using this technology can also be used as Tubeless or with an inner tube.
Tires marked with E-25 are rated to a standard speed of at least 15mph (25kmh). E25 e-bike tires feature a high quality structure with puncture protection to reduce premature wear brought about by the additional driving force.

Installed on my gravel bike. No problems with tubeless install. I’ve never had a problem with tubeless set ups with Continental tires.

I bought a Giant Revolt Advanced. Came with the Crosscut tires. When those finally got full of enough holes I replaced em with these. I'm mostly on pavement but need some grip for gravel. And occasionally I'll do a 50 mile gravel race. These hold up to it.

These tires are mounted on my e-bike that is used on hard surfaces and gravel. Easy to install on the rims and rides smoothly. I've put only 50 miles on these tires so its hard to tell how thorn resistant they are. I will be adding "flat out" as a precaution.

I'm not a hardcore gravel rider. The price was amazing on these and Continental makes a great tire. Therefore these are now mounted on my "city" bike to give it more versatility. They easily installed with tubes but are tubeless ready. I instantly noticed better off road grip. Casing has flat protection.

I had a gravel ride coming up, so replaced my Kenda Karve 28's with these. The Karves roll very nice on pavement but are too narrow for me on course gravel. These Continental Terra Trails seem to have much more rolling resistance on the tarmac, but rule on the gravel. I guess its all about what you are willing to sacrifice. I was falling behind on the tarmac, but felt much more in control on the gravel.

Round profile, good grip on loose fine gravel. Turn predictanly. Feel fast and roll quietly. Too soon to comment on durability. Tighter knobs in center may make for durability. Mounted with average effort. Have used both 40mm and 35mm on 700c.Recommend.
