I ordered this $108 Halfday dual-use garment & duffel bag (Amazon ASIN B0DZXTPBDT) because I needed a bag to carry my business clothes and my business casual clothes at differing times. This bag does both. So we have to treat it separately as two different bags, with different feature sets for each use. When zippered up in a roughly triangular-shaped carry-on duffel, this 45-liter carry-on bag measures roughly about 23 inches long by about 11-1/2 inches wide at the base by about 12-1/2 inches tall for a total of roughly 47 linear inches (which is how airlines measure volume). Since airlines also limit weight, I measured it at just under 2-1/2 pounds empty on my kitchen scale. When set up as a garment hanging bag, it measures the same 23 inches in width, but the length grows to 40 inches with the thickness being about 5 inches (for an airline linear dimension of 68 inches). The genius is that the triangular shoe pouches turn into the triangular sides of the duffel and they can still double as shoe pouches, keeping the polished business shoes away from the dry-cleaned clothing.About the only flaws in this design are that the waist cinch strap should be a clip instead of a buckle, as you're likely to not want to use it just because you have to unstrap it just to tuck your shirt into place - or you'll stuff the shirt and suit jacket under it - neither of which is an optimal situation - but that's not really the flaw that I speak of. The main flaw I noticed is that a normal sized suit doesn't even come close to fitting into this bag (see photos) even if you have it on short-necked hangers. Dry-cleaned shirts just barely fit - but a suit jacket doesn't even come close. That's too bad really, as that's the only major flaw in this otherwise fantastic design.Regarding the shirts hanging in the bag, I like that the bottom of the bag has two clips for keeping the shirts from ruffling during transit, as they'll pull the shirts tight to the bottom. You can't really clip the suit jacket though as the clip jaws aren't all that wide and the clips are a bit difficult to use (as they're kind of like the garter belts clips of the olden days). There are plenty of nice features in this bag, such as the luggage pouch where you can slip this bag over your luggage handles (whether in duffel mode or in garment-bag mode) and there's a long detachable padded shoulder strap along with a Velcro closure handle that can be used for hand-carrying purposes. There is Velcro on the garment bag 5-inch overhang also, although I should note the sewing is such that those two inch-long strips will likely fray over time (see detailed photos attached to this review).Overall, the sewing seems well done as is the material used. Perhaps surprisingly, there are extremely few actual pockets. Well, there aren't any pockets really. There's just the triangular-shaped batwing shoe pouches in the garment bag configuration which double as the triangular shaped sides of the duffel-bag arrangement. One of those triangular-shaped sides of the duffel configuration has a zipper, so that's one pocket. One. Just one. I'm surprised. But it's still a nice bag, in that it's light, roomy, sturdy, and well designed to either be a duffel bag or a garment bag. For more information, please see the included detailed photos. In explaining all of this, I hope this review helps you make a more informed decision.
