This is a perfectly functional cookie press with a lot of different attachment options. Trigger is easy to pull, the different tips are easy to swap out.

Since the kind of cookies I bake are 100% whole wheat with a thick dough that contains raisins, almonds or peanut butter I was skeptical that this cookie press would work with this type of cookie dough- and it did not. However it is very helpful to use without the plates. It pushes the dough out in a tubular shape that makes it easy to cut peanut butter cookies and oatmeal raisin cookies. It will also make life much easier when making almond biscotti by doing the same! The frosting tips worked well for piping out a ganache and they should work fine with frosting as intended.

I love making spritz cookies, but I haven't made them in a few years because I'm getting arthritis in my hands and thumbs which made my old cookie press difficult for me to use. This trigger is easy to pull and doesn't hurt my hands. I've tried an electric cookie press before but it didn't really work very well, not enough power. So I was happy to find this one and thought I'd give it a try. I also like that it comes with some basic frosting tips, because my hands can't squeeze frosting bags as well anymore. I haven't tried to use the tips yet, but I expect that they won't be as accurate as the pastry bags, but they will probably work fine for filling my artisan chocolates.
