Before using, season cookie stamps by brushing with vegetable oil. Dust with flour to minimize sticking. Roll cookie dough into walnut-sized balls. Stamp and flatten to desired thickness with the cookie stamp. To make cookie designs more distinct, avoid recipes with baking powder or baking soda (which will cause cookies to rise). If desired, tint the dough with food colouring prior to stamping. Or, to highlight the design, immediately after cookies are removed from the oven, brush the surface of the design with lightly beaten egg white tinted with food colouring.

Beware: the description clearly states “Cookie Stamps Box of 20; Includes Bear, Leaf, and Flower”, but all I received was a single stamp - which I am returning for a refund.

Torn on number of stars to give. The single stamp I received does seem to be of good quality. However, this is advertised as a set of three, I only received one stamp. I contacted the seller who said it was Amazon's problem (fulfilled by Amazon). Contacted Amazon who said it was seller's fault, although Amazon did issue a refund. My child ordered this set as a Christmas gift for me and was quite upset when I opened a single stamp and he had spent his own money. Hard lessons for a kid to learn at Christmas.

While I reallynlike the nature designs, using these presses requires patience. Not even covered with flour do they want to release the dough, and oiling them makes things worse. Maybe I am still in the learning curve as I will not be giving up and will try other dough aside shortbread which gave ne a lot of trouble. If anyone has had better luck otrouble.a trick that works, I am all eyes! I love the concept, I just want it to work better for me.

These are well made, and heavy for their size. When you use them as directed the dough doesn't stick and the impression is good. But, there is a learning curve. My first attempt produced shallow impressions on the dough, so I didn't press hard enough. The next attempt, I think I pressed too hard which caused the dough to stick to parts of the impression. Practice and you'll be able to make beautiful cookies with these.I do wish the impression had been cut a little bit deeper, hence the 4 stars instead of 5.

A great cookie stamp collation and just what I was looking for including the right size.

It was shipped quickly and the service was very good. I was a little disappointed that the design was not cut as deep as it seemed on the picture.

It must take a lot of practice to use these stamps. Some cookies stamped beautifully; others you couldnt tell what the stamp was.
