Even when I unpacked this gel cooler pad from the box, I was struck by how cool to the touch the gel pad felt. It easily fit into my Evenflo Pivot car seat. I would say this gel pad is most suitable for babies older than 6 months because the slits for the shoulder harness are in line with the highest belt locations on my car seat. My car seat has 3 adjustable positions for the shoulder harness based on the height of your baby and this gel pad wouldn't work well with the shorter 2 positions. The pad did not interfere with cinching my son's harness tightly or getting the buckles positioned the way they should be.The pad is easy to clean and the koala design is cute. It's double sided but both sides are the same. I guess if you completely wreck one side with stains you can just flip it but as I said, it's easy enough to clean and it truly does seem to be waterproof as described. It's nice to have this pad because I can't tell you how many times I've taken my son out of his car seat and he had sweat all down the back of his shirt.
