Installed on my 2001 Subaru Outback 2.5l. The original bearings in that compressor clutch just absolutely had it after 300K miles and they were wearing down the magnet, smoking and in general getting extremely hot. A new compressor from orielly's was 600 dollars and i just couldn't justify that for a beater with so many miles. Besides, the compressor still worked it was just the clutch assembly going out. Found this and saw some mixed reviews but ultimately decided to gamble on it. Install was simple after watching some youtube videos, and i think my compressor clutch had been slipping for a while because my A/C has not been this cold since i bought the car. So far its been on since August 2024, will update review if anything changes.

The clutch fit perfectly and worked great for a few thousand miles, but then the bearing totally failed.

Shaft on clutch plate had right spline but was too long, had to be cut down to wotk. Pully bearing was a little harder than it should have been to install. It does work well after the modification. I would recommend spending the extra money to buy factory parts.

Need an a/c clutch bearing that was failing with a good compressor. Save me big bucks to replace the whole unit, for a faulty bearing. They got me the right original replacement parts for a 21 year old compressor that still works. Thanks for thatUsually they try to sell u a new compressor.
