I crochet a lot. Like...a lot. I love working projects that use lots of different colors, but sometimes it's hard to find lots of colors that have similar weights so that the projects will come together nicely. This is a great set of lots of colors all in the same weight. The yarn itself is strong yet still soft.It feels like cotton yarn, however it might also be a type of cotton blend. There's a softness to it that makes me think it's not 100% cotton. Still...because you've got enough for an entire project, mixing the yarns won't matter after washing and drying.All in all, I love this set. It's beautiful yarn, it's soft, and it's strong enough to hold up for various types of projects.

I'm new to crocheting and wanted to start with granny squares because I was told that they're the easiest for beginners. My research was not wrong. This was an easy-to-follow kit with a realistic return for a new crocheter. It comes with the essentials that are needed to create every granny square shown. The yearn is nice quality too. It was easy to work with and a fun craft to start my crochet journey.

What a great kit! This arrived with so much yarn (18 skeins), a book of patterns, a guide to start crocheting, hooks. needles, snips, markers and a tape measure! Each skein of yarn is a different color, so you can lean to make these beautiful squares (50 in all) in bright and cheery colors! Put them all together after you are finished and you can have a love throw blanket or other cool items (purse, jacket, etc.) Nothing is a versatile as a granny square. They are great for the newer crocheter to build both skill and confidence with as they work through the book. I like that the book is a decent size that will stay opened. Just an over-all great kit for any skill level. I've been crocheting for more than 50 years and found some squares in this book that I'd never seen before. Highly recommended!!!!

This kit comes with milk cotton yarn which is super soft—ok a very fine chenille. And it comes with a lot of yarn. The book has directions for 50 granny squares and a book on how to crochet. It also has all of the tools you need for the project.

Sorry for my extremely long review. I just want to make my point clear!I received the Coopay granny squares kit for my honest review, and I am genuinely impressed. The sheer amount of yarn included is fantastic; it's a generously sized bag with a wonderful variety of colors. The packaging says it's cotton yarn, and while I've only ever worked with wool before, my familiarity with cotton is mostly in clothing – this yarn is quite different from the feel of cotton fabric. The only yarn-based cotton I know is the very thin thread used for making friendship bracelets, which is also nothing like this yarn. Because of this limited experience with cotton yarn, and because this yarn looks a lot like the acrylic yarn I've seen in stores but never used, I can't be completely certain it's cotton. However, I am taking the packaging at its word that this is cotton yarn, and honestly, even if it turned out to be acrylic, the sheer amount of yarn and everything else included would still make this a fantastic value. So either way, it's amazing, and I'm going with cotton as labeled – hopefully, it is! What truly elevates this kit, especially for someone like me who has only ever knitted and knows how to crochet a simple, solid-color scarf, are the comprehensive learning resources. It comes with clear instructions on how to crochet, a dedicated book to learn 50 different granny square patterns, a book of crochet basics, and it even has a QR code for video tutorials! This makes it an incredible value, even though I received it for review. The fact that it's a complete package with yarn that the label says is cotton and extensive learning materials (including video support) makes the Coopay granny squares kit a fantastic choice for both those completely new to crochet and those like me who know a few basic stitches but are eager to learn more complex projects. While the generous amount of yarn arrived in a large plastic bag, which was perfectly acceptable, I was genuinely surprised by just how much there was; the picture doesn't even fully convey it! Because of this abundance, having a dedicated storage solution included, like a box specifically for all this yarn, would have been a wonderful addition for organization. I'll likely find a bag or container I already own, but a dedicated yarn box would have been ideal. Because of this minor organizational consideration, I'm giving this kit a still incredibly high rating of 98%. I highly recommend it! BTW I show both sides of bag in photos so you can see that you get two layers of yarn in the generous size bag.

This is a nice kit. It comes with a lot of essentials. The hook was nice and all the accessories I tried worked well (stitch markers, scissors, needle). It was really nice the instruction book had so many patterns but as a newbie to granny squares I found some a bit confusing. The yarn was really soft and the colors were beautiful but I had a lot of trouble with splitting which led to man breaks. That being said I was able to complete my very first granny square. It’s a bit wonky but it’s not bad for a first attempt. As a starter kit this is really nice.

This crochet kit is a true value size. It has arrived in a large bag (not vacuum packed, thank you). 18 medium sized skeins of milk cotton in beautiful, vivid colors. The yarn is 4 ply, dk weight, about 100 yards/skein, a true bang for the money. The main attraction however is the instruction booklet which contains 50 (!) granny square patterns. The written patterns are very clear, can be easily followed, but for absolute beginners there is access for video tutorials to start to learn and master the art of crocheting. There are additional tools supplied, like crochet hooks in two sizes (3.5mm and 4mm) with ergonomic handle, a cutting scissors, some plastic yarn needles to weave in the ends, and stitch markers, all essentials to start to have fun right away. This is a very thoughtfully assembled crochet kit, perfect for everybody ready to learn a new skill, or to get it for somebody else as a gift. I'm amazed how much value this kit carries for the price. I'm very happy with this order, thank you.
