This is supposed to be IC-rated for a shower area. There's no way that the 1/16" thick foam gasket provides any sort of seal when sitting in the 1/8" deep trim cavity. The math doesn't work. Disappointed, to say the least.

I ordered this in July, but my contractor got sick & couldn't begin until today. He says it is only three inches & will not work. Amazon says my return window has closed so I"m stuck with it, unopened. Very disappointed.

I searched and searched for just the Lens for this. This item is the whole 'cylinder' along with the 'ring' as stated in the description. Way more than needed. I feel bad for having to now throw away a great piece of hardware that I don't need. Why don't they sell just the Glass Lens???
