Some skill was needed for this DIY project. If you don't know what your doing this can be challenging. I followed directions which were good (until the end) and ended up with a great working air conditioner. I need time to see if it holds up but so far so good. One comment- The instructions didn't mention that in addition to the two refrigerant valves- one on each line (pipe) there is a master valve that needs to be opened in order to fill the pipes with refrigerant. I opened the two valves as per instructions and the unit didn't work. I thought it was broken. I had to hire an AC guy and found out that the only problem was that a third valve had to be opened. If they only specified that in the instructions it would have been a flawless project.

Bought for our basement. So far it works well but dealing with customer service is a nightmare. Hope you have everything you need (we had to buy extra cables).
