This cordless grinder with a brushless DC motor will come in very handy, and likely replace my angle grinder for many jobs. Being cordless makes it easier to move from job to job, and it is ergonomically easy on the hands with soft rubber- like panels where your hands go to absorb the vibrations. The grinder has significant gravity to it, and comes with 2 24V batteries, a charger, and 3 grinding bits. More about the bits later. The batteries took about 25 minutes to charge from half full to full. The power switch can be operated momentarily, or locked into the on position. Changing the grinding bits is super simple. There is a spindle lock, and it comes with a chuck wrench. The chuck is a collet style and holds the bits very well with little torque on the collet nut. The bit shanks are 6mm, or 1/4".There were a few oddities that I wasn't familiar with. When running, it has a "rattly" sound, and when spinning down it sounds a little "grindy". I sent a message to the manufacturer about this, and they stated that it's a common phenomenon with brushless DC tools. The powerful, permanent magnets are the source of the sounds. They called it "cogging torque". I've never owned a brushless DC tool before, so it was new to me.Now to the grinding bits. They are the only con about the tool. They all have runout/wobble, to one extent, or another. The cone shaped, stone grinding bit being the worst. I don't consider it a major issue, as the bits are consumables. It seems to be a decent value at it's price point, and what you get for your money. Of course, the longevity is unknown at this time, and if I have issues, I will append this review.I give this cordless grinder 5 stars.

Even though this tool doesn’t come with a storage case, the box it arrives in serves that purpose somewhat. It’s a standard cardboard box, but the firm foam insert has cutouts that fit the tool and accessories individually, protecting them from damage. If you plan to use this tool daily, the box won’t hold up for long, but it should suffice for occasional use. This kit includes the grinder tool, two 5.0Ah batteries (half-charged), a charging station, a collet wrench, and instructions. The three grinding bits were missing, but fortunately, I have plenty of other bits that work with this grinder. The grinder itself weighs 2 lb 14.9 oz, so it feels solid and well-built. Each battery weighs 1 lb 14.7 oz, bringing the total operational weight to 4 lb 13.6 oz without a bit installed. The rear handle grip is made mostly of a hard rubber material with a textured surface for a firm grip. The front handle grip uses the same textured rubber with some plastic sections. Both the front and rear handle designs offer excellent hand indexing, making it feel natural to hold the tool in the correct position. The on/off button switch must be pressed down on the handle side and then slid forward. This is likely a safety feature to prevent accidental activation. Near the battery base is a button with three indicator lights for changing the grinder’s speed, which can be pressed while the bit is spinning. The collet locking button, located in the front handle area, works well for securing bits. The batteries have the same rubberized coating on the bottom, which I prefer over hard plastic that could damage work surfaces. They emphasize that it’s a brushless unit, with the word printed on both sides of the rear handle. I do prefer brushless tools since they eliminate the need to replace carbon brushes. Unfortunately, there is no onboard storage for the provided wrench, which makes it easier to misplace. The instruction manual states that the maximum width of any bit used should be 25 mm.After fully charging the batteries, I tested the tool on wood and steel. It performed well, and I had good control thanks to being able to grip the tool with both hands. I used a 1/4” bit, which locked securely in the collet. There was no noticeable vibration during use or while idle. The sound level is comparable to a drill, so it's not overly loud.

First off, this is my first experience with a die grinder. But I’ve used a larger grinder with cutoff wheels and sanding discs, so I have some background. Was happy to see the manufacturer cared enough to package the tool well, with each piece in a form-fitted cavity within the box. Nice enough for me to keep it to store the tool. With the battery installed, the grinder is 18 inches long and weighs (on my kitchen scale) 4 pounds and 14 1/2 ounces. It’s a solid feeling and substantial tool. Holding it at the hand grip balances the weight of the tool well.I had to get used to the on-off switch and found that pushing it forward (but not down) worked best. Once it’s on, pushing down will lock the switch in the on position. From two feet away, the SPL meter on my phone read around 72db when the grinder was running. Not bad.The kit comes with a wrench to install grinding stones or bits. The box and instruction booklet tell you to limit the diameter to 25mm or one inch. Both 5AH batteries came with a partial charge. Topping them off took 30 minutes for one battery and 45 for the other. I was glad to see the batteries had LEDs to show the charge status. The grinder has 3 speeds which are selected by a switch on the grinder near the battery well. The speed indicator stays illuminated for a few seconds after a change and also comes on when the grinder is powered up.I have a few cordless tools from a popular yellow brand, and while the batteries look similar, they aren’t compatible. These 24V Vbliot batteries are larger in size and weigh about 1/2 lb. more than the equivalent yellow 20V 5AH battery. All in all, seems like a well-designed and constructed tool. For the price, I think getting a brushless 24V grinder with two high capacity batteries and a charger is a great value. The three stones it came are different shapes but appear to be the same grit. I’ll get some additional bits to get more versatility. Very happy with this grinder.
