Some assembly is required. They include the required tools to assemble the product. It's pretty self-explanatory and this is the way I assembled it.The shaft fits together in two places and the holes must be aligned and the screw tightened down for both sections. After that, the guard is attached and held in place by a screw with a winged plastic head that is easily hand-tightened. Attach the wheel with the included screw with a black gear-shaped handle.Then, attach the preloaded bump head after using the included tool to remove the locking nut. Next, attach the black handle and adjust it to whatever height is comfortable.Install one battery (it comes with two and a charger) and get ready to trim some grass, etc.In conclusion, they include everything needed to get out in the yard including an extra package of trimmer line. The packaging doesn't say what diameter the string is but it shouldn't be too hard to figure out by taking a piece to the store and matching it to the different ones on the shelf. They also include two blades as well.

I’ve high hopes of using this trimmer for my landscaping. Unfortunately, it fell short of expectation. This trimmer requires full assembly and the instructions are confusing and hard to follow. There are a lot of “Warnings” in each of the steps. You’re better off watching the video on the product page on Amazon. After putting it together, it doesn’t work that well. It makes grinding sound when the power is on, and doesn’t have enough power to simply cut grass. It just stalls. I give up. I’m looking for something better.

Wasn’t what I expected, but only cause it was more powerful than expected. Worked great to edge which is what I got this for, I have a Dewalt trimmer that is longer to keep me from bending over for all trimming I need but I only have a short section of sidewalk. I did bend 1blade heavily and other lightly which I know 1st one was definitely user error as I hit a pc of broken sidewalk. I’m hoping now it’ll be easier to do now that it’s been done.

Trimmer was packed well with bubble wrap and thick packing foam to protect it. Both batteries arrived fully charged. Assembly was easy even with the poor directions.It’s on the heavy side so the addition of wheels is a nice feature. Wheels can be adjusted for different grass cutting heights and allows you to push the trimmer and not carry it all the time.I’m in Arizona and it cuts through the dense dry grass without bogging down. The included blades can cut through fibrous and woody plants that are less than 1/2 inch.Battery lasted about 1 1/2 hours of start and stop weed wacking.Longevity will be the final hurdle for this trimmer. With one month off regular use, it’s working as it should. I’ll update this review should problems arise in the future.

I ordered this Weed Whacker/Lawn Edger because my EGO brand string trimmer is a little hard to handle with the huge battery. I needed something that was lightweight and had a smaller battery but would still do the job and this one is just perfect for my needs. Fortunately, it was easy to assemble and I figured it out in spite of the poor instructions (I deducted 1 star for the poor instructions). I had to wait a few days for some dry weather before I could actually use it but it made quick work of trimming I had to do in the back yard. I haven't had a chance to use it as an edger yet but it has a separate faster speed setting for that and the blades are plenty sharp enough to do the job. I'll be trying that feature this weekend if it's dry and will update this review if I run into and problems edging. I expect it to work just as well for edging as it does as a weed whacker. I especially like the fact that it has two batteries included so I won't have to wait to recharge a battery to complete the job if one runs down before I finish.

The Coilace Cordless Weed Wacker is one heck of a deal. The tool comes with two 20 volt, 4Ah batteries, a charger, a string trimmer spool, extra trimmer line, two metal blades and accessories to convert to an edge trimmer. The brushless motor provides better power and is less of a drain on the batteries. I wish the manufacturer would have adapted a common battery type instead of a proprietary one. The string trimmer is dual line and is easy to reload. The spool features a bump type string feed that works well. Some assembly was required with good directions to help. I fired mine up right away and the trimmer ate through grass with ease. Here in Arizona we have a weed called Horehound that can get a little woody and the string trimmer took them on without bogging down the motor. I installed the metal blade to take on another nasty plant called Cat Claw. It is very woody and the blade chopped down the cat claw with some bases about 1/2-inch in diameter. After all that, the battery seemed unfazed. The head of the trimmer can be rotated into six different angles to compensate for the operator’s height or the type of terrain you are working on. The tool has a safety system that shuts off the motor if it gets stalled by taking on too much at once. I really didn’t have the highest hopes for a weed whacker at this price point, but this feature-rich trimmer impressed me with its performance.
