Square polyethylene terephthalate (PET) storage bottles are easier to handle, require less space (13-20%) on the shelf and are ideal for mixing, sampling and storage. PET resin is lightweight, break-resistant and transparent as glass. Bottles use a linerless, one-piece autoclavable orange GL45 threaded polypropylene plug seal cap.

I saw one comment that ranted about it being garbage. The AD plainly states it is PET. Why is it PET? PET is VERY resistant to many acids and bases and as such, makes a GREAT bottle for storage of these types of solutions. Different chemical storage REQUIRES the proper composition of the container AND its cap. This bottle is IDEAL for many of these. Further, since it IS a "Corning" product, I would expect it to be above average build quality and graduation accuracy.
