I used this to install the SSD in my old Precision T1700, it worked perfect and fit in the tray i ordered with a little jury rigging due to the tray design. Worked great, no problems, fast delivery, all the parts, no damage. Perfect

This is the *third* SSD mounting bracket I have purchased to mount an SSD in my Dell Optiplex 740. It works well enough. The SSD is mounted far enough to the side that when the bracket in the blue drive cradle the SATA ports are not blocked by the blue tab thingie. Good enough. There is room for improvement. If the bracket were longer... then both ends would be held by the pins in the blue cradle. So the SSD + bracket can wiggle a bit. Now I understand why some people have complained this bracket doesn't "fit" in their computer. At this point it's the best solution I've found and it basically works.

Just used a single tray to installed an Adata SU800 and the screw holes in this tray lined up perfectly with the screw holes on the SSD and drive bay. Easy to install and fits well, though my drive bay is positioned in a way that allows for plenty of room for cables, and it sticks out of the drive bay by about half an inch, something to keep in mind if you’re tight on space. The SSD itself lines up flush with the edge of the tray.

Mounts my Samsung 850 EVO SSD just fine, and it fits my 3.5" drive cage, which already has the holes needed to mount this. I used all the screws that came with it, and they all fit fine. Two screws do touch the SSD, but they aren't causing any damage. What more to say, it's a piece of metal that does exactly what it's supposed to. I chose this over plastic ones for the heat dissipation, which you won't get with plastic. Also, the price was the same as many plastic ones.To those complaining about this not fitting your drive cage due to lack of holes, just drill a few holes. To those complaining about the screws being too long, use shorter screws. Yes, they come in different lengths. It's not rocket science, people.

This has become a regular purchase for me as we have been refreshing desktops from plate drives to solid state drives. They have fit perfectly in every form factor of Dell 780 and Dell 990. It comes with two sets of screws each of a different size depending on your need, 2.5” or 3.5”, making it a great versatile bracket. You will want to make sure that your cage allows for this size before ordering but I haven't had an issue with the fit as some others have mentioned. We have been using them regularly with Samsung EVO 2.5” solid state drives and the holes line up perfectly. I have not used them with anything larger though. The drives go in securely, no wobbling, and no worries about movement. The metal is sturdy and I can’t see a reason for giving less than 5 stars. Corsair is a trusted brand and I have recommended these to my colleagues going through similar upgrades.

Corsairs 2.5" to 3.5" HDD mount was almost perfection for upgrading my parent's 2007 Core 2 Duo iMac 7,1 (24") from a 3.5" 360GB 7200RPM HDD to a 240GB PNY SSD.What made this bracket better than the others for this upgrade is that the 2.5" mount is placed at the top of the bracket instead of the center. This is great because in the 7,1 series of iMacs, the Sata power and data cables are very short and just barely reach the factory 3.5" standard HDD and wouldn't be able to be connected to a center mounted converter bracket. When you install this bracket in a 7,1 iMac, it's installed bottom (screw) side up, which means the Sata power and data cable of the 2.5" drive are on the bottom and the 2.5" drive is upside down. (Label side of drive facing towards the back of the iMac)The only problem is that the mounting bracket is a little short. (As other have said) - This was okay for me, because the mount is attached with a peg and clamp for installation in the iMac. Only one (out of two) of the pegs could not be attached, but one was enough and SSDs can't be damaged if it vibrates or moves.Highly recommend upgrading to an SSD if you have a Core 2 Duo computer, it makes a huge difference, even if you're limited to Sata II.

Honestly I'm really not sure why there are so many negative reviews, as this product works perfectly fine. Let me preface with this - I bought a Corsair 750D case, which includes 4 SSD mounting plates along the front left side, but they seemed to fit sort of sloppily, hence my need for this product. It's very easy, it only took me about 2 minutes to screw in my 2.5" SSD and slide the bracket into the hard drive tray. This bracket is shorter than a standard hard drive tray, but there is a work around. The top 2 holes fit into the screw-less design of most hard drive trays, while the bottom 2 holes are secured down with screws that go into the hard drive tray.Overall, this was very easy, and the flashy 'Corsair' logo adds a nice touch for the aesthetic aspect. I'd definitely recommend this product.
