Have been buying Cortland 444 lines for over 40 years and never let me down.this line shoots well and there is no memory.using it with a 10ft rod and the combination works well; extra distance is achieved.I did last time change to another make but i had serious memory problems and in the end gave up and returned to Cortland 444.Stick to what you know.

There is a thin but hard and slick coating on this line that makes it the best line in the world. Period. Cortland makes fly lines. Every other manufacturer makes gummy sub-par imitations. But it is best if someone makes the expensive quest for themselves to find out what I wrote above.

Used to use Hardy products. Switched decades ago to Cortland. Everything from Rocket Taper up to the 555. Exclusively now just the 444. Steelhead to 19lb2oz and Bows to14 lbs over last sixty years of tossing tinsel. Just got new Salt Water reel and thinking about Tarpon before someone throws dirt on me. Awaiting delivery of new 444 WF for my 7/8 W&M Sabalos. Hope new combo adequate to stretch few fish lips down south.

this was for my uncle and he his really pleased with this product. Highly recommended. When I asked my foreman, who is crazy about fishing, which product he recommended his answer was quick- buy this one! And he was right.

this fly line is the one that i use fof just about all my fishing from bonefish to atlantic salmon.it casts a dream it will always lay out straight and with the long belly i can mend with no effort
