This is perfect for air drying, but I purchased it to compactly store snifters for my brandy and cognac as shown in the attached photo. I have owned this for about a year and the only maintenance required is an occasional dusting. It's not only attractive, but the base is heavy enough to safely store glassware in the open (assuming that you don't have a curious cat) and for my glassware could easily hold six pieces, although I only have four snifters. For me it's a perfect solution to managing limited bar space, and one that I highly recommend if you want an attractive and convenient way to bring up to six glasses to a table when entertaining. And, of course, as a drying rack for stemware.
