As others have mentioned, the seller keeps shipping these missing a key. The unit needs 2 keys, one for the auger and one for the outer grinding plate. It simply cannot work with only one key.Also, the broached end of the auger has burrs and won't smoothly slide onto the shaft; it can be done with a bit of force.

Shabby workmanship - arrived with shaft burs unable to slide on to mill shaft bolt, had to take a round file and clear out the excessive steel, for the cost this is item it is just poor workmanship and no quality control,

We grew our own heirloom corn this past year and the auger was needed for our Country Living Mill so as to be able to grind the corn into cornmeal and grits.The folks at 9G did an excellent job and must have gotten our order off almost as soon as we placed it.
