My ski boots are very difficult to get on and off. This device works. It took a short amount of time to learn how to use it. Since I am right-handed, it is easier to get the right boot off. I am happy with the purchase.

The bootjack works amazingly. I got new ski boots this winter that I was not able to get on easily. I would have to step on the back of the heel and work at it.. The beach, Jack makes it so quick and easy! I highly recommend this product.

I spent just short of a month on my alpine skis this past winter in two extended sessions in a ski house with seven other skiers (all of us retired). I brought this tool along to be available for use by everyone. The tool is well made and it works; but unlike the firm's boot horn (which was in much-demand for getting our ski boots on), this tool was hardly used. The tool is well made, but we did not find it necessary for getting off our boots; it just did not make the whole process that much easier. The issue comes down to technique. While the tool does a good job of holding the ski boot down and allowing one to lever one's foot out, it does nothing to lever the boot's tongue over to the outside, which allows the foot to come out more easily. The end result is that we all found it just as easy to take off our boots by hand and while the tool was well tested, we didn't use it much.

Yes, I have been keen to find these back on the market again. Yes, they are good, but if you are using an extremely hard very snug, very angled advanced skier boot, it pushes them for you to help get them off, however, they do not "open" the boot at the front of the ankle, which is the real problem. We have one of the machines which does that. This is lighter, more portable weight wise and may help (it is our summer now) on the warmer days, however, it will still be a big push/pull on the very cold days and I expect difficult, but an improved situation. AS explained, I have not properly tested it and the computer will not accept my review without a star rating. Accordingly, I have given a middle star rating, sorry.

The boot tool worked pretty well.Like most things, it wasn't totally effortless as depicted but it was a lot easier than not using it.I definitely recommend this item.
