I’ve gone through a lot of finger glove styles and materials over the past 20 years and generally gravitate back to leather for its longer lifespan. This particular finger glove fits snuggly out of the package. Construction and materials are very simple and well done. Wrist and back of the finger leather is soft and subtle with a comfortable amount of flex. Inner grip is suede leather for good line grip. In my experience, none of these finger gloves last more than a dozen trips and some not more than a dozen casts. Overall this one seems to have the quality to last better than average. My biggest issue with this model is that I have big hands and longer fingers than I this this is sized for. It not ridiculously too short, but it is noticeably short and the wrist wrap bunches up a bit. Fit around the finger is better than average as it’s neither too tight nor too loose for me. Right in the Goldilocks zone. My plan is to oil it with mink oil and see if I can both loosen up the leather a little and get a little stretch and waterproof it at the same time. To be fair about this review, I’d say if you have a medium sized hand this is good choice to try out. For larger hands you might want to consider looking for something different. I will have to keep fishing this to give an thorough review on longevity. Bottom line. Nice leather and good use of materials well made, might be small for larger hands without some break in period. I think the quality of the materials and the overall design exceeded my expectations and is better than previous purchases I’ve made of leather casting gloves. I treated this with leather waterproofing wax protector and it works great for surf fishing. I prefer leather to other materials cause I'm old school. The leather is flexible and the finger guard is well stitched. It protects my finger from heavy braids when casting a lot of weight very well and it fits well while being comfortable.
