This is a pretty neat craft. Comes with 2 matte finish mugs that are kind of your average diner tea/coffee cup size. The handles on the mugs are weirdly chunky, but that just gives more decorating space I guess. Probably fits smaller hands better too.Two brushes. One is super fine point brush for detail work and the other is a wider flatter brush for filling in spaces. Or, you do you and use them however you or your kids see fit.Nice collection of 12 paint colors included, along with a palate so you can dispense them or mix your own custom colors. Looks like more than enough to paint these mugs and more.Easy instructions. Clean and dry the mug, come up with a design, pencil it out or go freehand, paint, and bake to set the paints. One thing I like is that the mugs come in their own individual boxes, with a ribbon design on them. So, you're all set if you or your child wants to gift your/their artistic genius to mom, grandma, or whomever.I do wish they had included some stencils. Not that our budding artist will have any difficulties coming up with ideas. But, they do include a page with a bunch of examples, along with the colors used to make them. That part is a great help. So, they do set you up with some inspiration, while still encouraging you to do your own thing.Haven't let our artist loose on them yet, but this is going to be a huge hit. Highly recommended.

So I originally got the is for the kids to paint mugs for Father’s Day. However, upon receiving and inspecting the mugs, decided to let the kids paint them for themselves. The mugs in general, and specifically the handles, are a little wonky. I’m sure the mugs are constructed In such a way to survive the baking process that you have to do after painting, but it definitely takes away from the experience of your morning drink. If you’re picky about your mugs like my husband is then you probably won’t be happy using these. The kids enjoyed painting them. Came with plenty of colors and the paint was in great condition, not all dried up. The kids will love drinking out of these mugs they created themselves. Overall, every fun and wood make a fun gift for a loved one if they aren’t picky about their mugs.

This is a review of the Craft Spot paint your mug kit.I am sad about this kit as I had high expectations and have been let down. I did a school project as a child where I painted a plate that was baked in a kiln for my parents' anniversary. I was excited to find a similar project, but I'm confused and disappointed because I don't know how to proceed. Before purchasing, I clicked on the third image in the description, which is the user guide, and it clearly states that you can bake it in the microwave. The image of the oven in the guide looks small enough to be a microwave. However, I wasn't sure how to set my microwave to the specified temperature, so I thought maybe I could just microwave it for short intervals and it would work.I was surprised to find that the instructions indicate that it should be baked in a conventional oven. This makes more sense since typically you bake things in the oven, but I don't currently own an oven, so I’m unsure how we can set the paint to make the mugs usable.I understand that most people have ovens, but not everyone does. I think the instructions need to clarify this better. They should remove any mention of the microwave entirely if the paint cannot be set in one because it only confuses people, as it did me.On the plus side, the product itself looks nice. The two mugs arrived in perfect condition, packaged in two separate boxes, and there is also a small palette to mix the paint, which is colorful and bright. It’s just a shame that we can't proceed with the project. I wish I could provide more insight on how it turns out but I can't. Meanwhile, I hope they fix this error to prevent others from being sad like I am.

My kid was so excited to use this kit to make grandparent gifts, it was a huge hit. The mug handles are super chunky so these may not be much fun to use regularly but it does make it easier to hold the mugs while painting them and it gives more area to decorate. The paints were easy to use and easy to mix, the included pallete was great for mixing the custom colors, and the two different sized paintbrushes worked well. My kid opted to just paint freestyle but I appreciated the instructions mentioning that designs can be lightly sketched in pencil first. Baking to heat set the paint was easy and I love that each mug comes in its own box with a printed bow on top, perfect for gifting. Overall I really like this kit, it's perfect for artistic kids in your life.

This paintable mug is so much fun for kids. My niece is on vacation and I did it with her and she had so much fun! It comes with 2 kid size mugs, paint brushes, paint and the instructions. After the kids paint it, you just stick it in the oven and then it's done! I love the excitement from my niece while she is sitting counting down the time until it is done. It comes out perfect and ready to use. It has been great for kids to use for hot chocolate or whatever really. It is a strong thick mug nothing cheap so I think it will hold together. Definitely worth the money and getting for a fun activity to do with the kids.

This is a neat and complete set for two (in my mind two kids) to paint forever mugs for Mom and Dad or Grandma and Grandpa or favorite teachers. The cups can be customized however you like and not only are they special but are cheaper than purchasing two mugs. Instructions are included (I knew you wanted to know) and once baked the paint is permanent. The cups are lightweight too. Only thing I am not fond of is the thick handles (esthetics).
