I have been doing diamond painting for over 7 years. My little 5 year old granddaughter wanted to learn to help grandma with her "puzzles" so I got her this kit. She loved it and has now been turned on to diamond painting. You have to sit with them to show them how to do it initally, but it's definitely a good gift.

Both my kids loved these. The gem ones are more for the younger age and the dot ones were more for older age.
