It’s not as tall as expected. I am worried that is not gonna grow as supposed to be. It has been three weeks in the ground and it’s not growing.

Received May 19, 2024, arrived successfully and healthy even in delivery trucks held in our hot desert warehouses here in Tucson. The trunks were actually thick (about as wide as an adult index finger) unlike the stick-like trunk crape myrtle I bought from a different seller.This particular Crape Myrtle is the SHRUB/HEDGE type that has multiple trunks and you can prune as a little tree (6-8 feet tall) or a hedge.The one I received was their last one, and I got lucky, it looked to be around 2 years old, and it bloomed the next month still in container. The color is beautiful (bright neon purple just like in the photo).Today Sept 9, 2024 we just planted in ground. I was worried because I thought I had received 2 in one container, but after looking at the photo it shows one plant can have multiple trunks.This is the SHRUB version of the Crape Myrtle. They don't grow tall, they can be pruned like a little tree or kept as a shrub or hedge. They are deciduous (lose leaves in winter) but then bloom all spring summer and fall.Maybe they'll have some more when in season next year.
