The entire holder head pivots 360 degrees. The spring loaded clip is pretty strong, will take some effort to pry apart. Phone or case must have magnetic ring or MagSafe, the magnet on this holder is nice and strong. Quality of build is excellent, should last you a few years.

I use this clamp style MagSafe mount daily at my desk. The clamp holds strong, and the swivel and tilt adjustments work exactly how they should. It’s marketed for travel, but honestly, it’s useful anywhere you’ve got a ~1.2" straight edge for the grip. Super quick to setup, it's solid, compact, and more versatile than you’d expect.

The phone holder works great. The magnetic hold is strong and the device is very adjustable to many different positions so it can work in multiple configurations/positions. The reason I marked it down is because mine was assembled in a way where the parts were not straight and in-line with each other so my device looked crooked. It doesn't really have any impact on the operation but it annoys me a bit.

Bought this to replace a similar holder that had a clamp that broke. Should have switched sooner, as having a magnetic mount is sooo much easier, and this magnet is strong! It seems well constructed and works great so far. I use it weekly as a mini handheld tripod to record my son's basketball games. Much easier than holding the phone by itself, and this holder folds up small and fits in my pocket better than any mini tripod.

I have a few of these mounts for when I fly or travel but this is the first one I've had that uses magsafe instead of a clamp. In some ways I like the old clamp style ones better because if you have to mount this on your tray table you can get about an inch more of height using older clamp style ones like the Klearlook Universal Airplane Phone Holder, it's Item: KLUS2CLAMPB on Amazon. But I also like this newer magsafe style as its a litte more sleek and fits in a small bag a little nicer as it has less bulk. Build quality is also al ittle nicer on the magsafe version. Both styles hold the phone well and function very nicely. At the low price of $13 ish dollars this is a very fair purchase and highly recommended to anyone who uses their phone to watch movies while flying.

I've tried a ton of these type of phone holders over the years for plane travel & ended up settling on one that is foam with some kind of thin metal core. You can bend it to hold the phone, but it's not super secure & fits differently based on the airline/ airplane. The others that I've tried are just too bulky to be practical. This one is much better. If you have a recent model iPhone (but not an SE or 16e) you already have MAgSafe built in to the phone. If not, you can buy a MagSafe case or glue the included metal ring to the phone or phone case.you end up with the benefit of a very secure hold, but in a small package, which combines the best of both worlds. This should last a long time as it appears to be well made, but if it ever breaks, I will buy another right away.

My family and I have been using travel phone holders for years now, ever since we realized how much more comfortable it is to have your phone at eye level instead of awkwardly down on the tray table. Every time we flew, it was one of those little conveniences that made a long flight feel much more manageable. So when I saw the CreaDream Airplane Phone Holder with MagSafe, I figured it was time for an upgrade—and overall, it’s been a really solid decision.Right away, what stood out to me about this new holder compared to our older ones was the much wider clip design. Instead of a skinny little grip that would sometimes feel like it was barely hanging onto the tray table or seat back, this one offers a broader and more stable base. That extra surface area makes a real difference in cutting down on the amount of airplane vibration that gets transferred to your phone screen. Especially on those flights where the plane seems to shudder just slightly the whole way, it’s nice not to have your movie or TV show bouncing up and down with every movement. But the real wonder is the MagSafe mounting. Our older holders relied on spring-loaded friction clips, the same type you find on selfie sticks. Those worked well enough for keeping the phone in place, but they always had one big flaw: your phone was stuck in a very rigid, single orientation. If you needed to adjust the angle because of how you were sitting, or because of the weird geometry of the tray table arm, you either couldn’t do it or had to accept a wobbly, semi-secure compromise. With the MagSafe connection, that's completely solved. Now you can spin the phone around 360°, tilt it to exactly where you need it, and it stays put without any fuss. I’m sure the main idea behind using MagSafe was just to make it easier to attach your phone, but for me, the real win is how much it improves your ability to customize your viewing angle on the fly.Of course, MagSafe does mean you need a compatible phone or a MagSafe-enabled case. If you don’t have one, this holder won't really work for you unless you add a magnetic ring to your phone case. Also, because MagSafe relies on magnets rather than a locking clip, you’re trading the absolute security of a mechanical grip for ease and flexibility. In bumpy conditions, I kept one eye on my phone just in case, but I never actually had it pop off during a flight.Overall, this is a great travel accessory that I’m glad we added to our kit. It’s small enough to toss into a carry-on pocket, sets up quickly without needing to fumble with adjustments, and makes watching shows or checking maps during a long flight so much more comfortable. I can definitely see us using this holder for years of travel to come.

This airtravel phone holder has a very strong grip and a strong and effective magnet for connecting to the phone. The grip is a little difficult to open with one hand, so if you have issue with grip strength it can be a challenge to open the grip. However once it is attached to whatever surface you need to clip in onto it will stay there and can support the larger iPhones. It also includes a sticker ring, but I have not tested it on an object heavier than a phone. One nice feature is that it can be turned so the arm is on the bottom and it can be used as a phone holder and stand so you can watch videos on your phone. It can also be used to clip onto a number of different surfaces as well, and you'll have a lot of different places to use this great device.
