Great way to honor your work and ensure the recipient will know where it came from. *****APPLICATION******MerryStockings woven labels will soak up ink and the ink will expand or bleed. For that reason, we DO NOT recommend using a fabric pen or a fine tipped sharpie. We recommend using a smooth rolling ball point pen. To gauge how the pen will roll, try a few small strokes on the backside of the label. Although the backside is a bit different in texture, it will provide feedback as to how the label responds. Using your non-writing hand, hold down the edges of the label to ensure a flat, tight surface. Apply text to label prior to sewing label on the stocking kit.

I like that the ink does not run when you put your name on tag but your needle has to be very sharp and thin

I was a bit surprised at how small they are, but that’s on me because it clearly says that they are 1” x 3” in the product description. Other than that, I love these labels. They have a nice shiny satin look to them, and I’m sure they will look really nice attached to the stockings (I got 4 because I’m making stockings for my 4 grandchildren). I used a Bic ballpoint pen and it worked beautifully; no smudges or bleeding ink. I held each side with my left hand and that worked perfectly to ensure the label didn’t move around while I was writing. I originally wasn’t going to order labels for the stockings, but I’m so happy that I did! It adds the perfect final touch to a very special gift that will be a treasured keepsake from this grandma to each of her precious grandchildren!
